In addition , you must replace the broken one in following situations.
Unable to boot or fingerprint scanner cannot identify your fingerprint.

If fingerprint option disappears. It may be due to a lose connection. Place the phone on a flat surface and press down the areas around the scanner and camera area and restart your phone. It worked for me hopefully it'll for you guys.

on Christmas day,my phone stopped accepting fingerprint scans, I restarted it 4 times and It didn't work. today, I read this comment and restarted it, and now it works. *technology is something nobody will understand*

You are a fricken hero. I've watched and read dozens of articles and yours was the first video I saw of the hair dryer back plate tip. The phone wouldn't read prints, didn't want to charge, being buggy and your trick fixed ALL the issues!!

Can I use another type of glue like crazy glue .or does it have to be t 7000?

Fingerprint option not available after replacing the sensor, I know the sensor is working because I can turn the phone on/off fast, while before I couldn't. The option was disabled by Android when the sensor was bad but now Android does not check again, so the option remains disabled, invisible, not accessible, it is not there, only PIN and face reco.

No, I bought it, changed it and still it doesn't work correctly, just live with it or buy a new phone, don't waste your time

@@kristupas54 Did you fixed it? I was using the phone for 3 years and dont had trouble with it. But now fingerprint sensor failed.. damn..

Removing the fingerprint scanner with those pliers left some bad scratches in the paint layer behind the glass panel. I would recommend anyone to use a plastic pick or something like that. Also I wouldnt recommend to anyone to use glue......

mugenjouproject Did you have any issue with your phone not having the fingerprint option anymore? I replaced mine and its like my phone doesn't recognize the finger print scanner at all anymore.

Mike Diaz i ordered a whole backpanel assembly that came with the powerbutton and adhesive pre-applied. After replacing it i didnt have issues using the finger print reader. But it wasnt enabled before replacing it.
