- You can drag and drop the DLL and KDZ straight to the Powershell window.

(X is the port number, find it on your Device manager)

I am not responsible of anything happening to your device. This guide was made for the LG G7 but you can use the same process for the V40 Just make sure to download the correct KDZ for your Phone
Follow my instructions and you should be fine!
Rest assured, it's nearly impossible to brick an LG device using LGUP.
(My computer shut down on me while upgrading to the AWM A10, so...)
If your smartphone is under T-mobile or it's a Dual-Sim version, just forget about it( but still subscribe though)

hey man, how are you? congrats for the video, but advise everyone to not try this on G710EMW variant, because the SIM card doesn't work, so calls, messages and internet data doesn't work

Man you are a savior. I cannot express my gratitude in words. After getting LG G7 ThinQ to android 10 by following all steps, it was a breeze. Although process was complex but you made it easy to follow and get it done by a newbee like me. Thanks. Only I flashed to canadian firmware G710AWM30b_00_OPEN_CA_OP_0605 KDz file. thanks bruv for the workthrough! updated my g7 to a10 with the korean kdz, but I kind of don't like some of the visual differences here in this rom and also not getting google feed on left swipe. Was wondering will it be available on the canadian kdz? also if you could provide the link for the canadian kdz would be a great help for me! Thank you in advance!

You can replace the notif tray if it's not your thing. I personally didn't like it but now it kinda grew in me. For the Google feed, you can download a theme on the playstore, "WS" and it will be available. (what about using the Google app?) Finally, the version I'm using is in the description.

Hi Kensley, I have bought a Lg g7 whose about phone says its model no. is g710ulm, but when I checked its imei on Lgroms its says g710tmp, and its stuck on Android 8, so should I flash ulm kdz file, tmp kdz file, or your awm kdz, Please let me know?

Kensley Plz help. After updating to Android 10 my lg g7 plus was having serious bootloop issues. So I decided to flash another country firmware. I installed the Hong Kong firmware but still having bootloop issues. I am worried. Plz tell me which country firmware are you using. @@KensleyInnocent a There's nothing you can do to help. The phone is completely dead. Already took it apart and disconnected and reconnected the battery, and that didn't help. RIP the back panel. After flashing it the second time (to T-Mobile), it didn't even appear on Device Manager. When I plug it in and hold the volume up key at the same time, nothing appears on the screen. Completely killed my favorite phone of all time.

You can use the Korean version. Also, you can try with the latest Canadian update!

Wonder if this will work for Stylo 6. Specifically flashing a Cricket (LMQ730AM) to MetroPC (LMQ730MM). I rather flashed to T-mobile but no KDZ for it.

Muchas gracias bro porfin algo bueno, pero tengo un problema, mi lg g7vm se le arruino el centro de carga mande a comprar uno por alli y no me llego el que esperaba igual lo instale y de un momento a otro se desconecto el wifi y la red, intente meterle firewr siempre de lg g7vm y no me soluciono simepre al meter el chip se va el gps y wifi, ahora intento el metodo tuyo y me funciona muy bien el wif y gps, la red no me levanta red pero si me detecta el chip en los puntos apn mas no me levanta red ¿que puedo hacer? o me toca solo usarlo con wifi?? Soy de Honduras intente con red claro y tigo

The only version available right now is the T-mobile one. And I don't advise flashing it at all if you want to avoid bootloop

Would you advise us to do a backup beforehand? Also, what do you mean by "the process is complete" (3:01-3:06)? What steps do you take in order for the process to be complete? I think you should do it. There's no OTA date and it's unlikely that you'll have android 11.

You'll have it sooner. It's the same thing as a OTA update, you just do it manually. the camera UI is different, not necessarily better. The HDR is still "OK". And there's a new, useless feature to record smooth, stable videos(it doesn't work at all, it's noisy and crop too much). But overall, you should definitely upgrade!

@@KensleyInnocent Thanks man! I was hoping they would remove the limitation of 6mins 4k when recording at 60fps, but it's ok. i can still manage with 1080p 60fps which looks good still. On a different note, one of your commenters mentioned that their android 10 update made their G710ULM to a G710NULM, I wonder if this will have any negative impact when I try to sell this phone as a g710ULM. I know resale value on these is not much, but I may sell it nonetheless. Thanks again.

Tl;dr: crossflash is when you flash a rom that's not made specifically for your phone variant. I also was using the G710ULM version and flashing the G710N was made without any problem.

There's only one update available for the V40 and it's for T-Mobile. If you're not using a T-mobile variant, I don't recommend it!

Thank you so much that i was able to flash it to Andriod 10 im using the korean version LG G710N and it works, is it possible for me to flash to the global version? Anyways im still trying to fix my device because it doesn't have google play certify and i have done lots od research which need me to unlock the bootloader and install twrp but i cant seem to get my device into fastboot. If you could help me or anyone that is experience please leave me a reply because im really annoyed that i can't stream videos.

Please help I'm desperate. I have a LG 5 phone and I was doing something in apps and I was on the chrome app. I clicked uninstall updates and it reset the chrome app to a old version. I try to update the app in google play but I can't. I can no longer see other updates or apps that need to update in my games and apps. How do I undo this or reinstall updates, I can not reset the phone because I do not have another device. Please help!

You'll have to flash them, unless you reverted back when the official update variant for yours comes out. But, I doubt that the G7 will receive any further updates....

Hey Kensley, LG will be updating the LG G7 to receive the new Velvet UX sometime this year - hopefully this process will work. Also There is now an open unlocked Canadian KDZ file for those that would like to flash their phone to be a North American (Canadian) version. I am currently downloading that KDZ and will try to flash my LG G7. Thanks again for your video

@@KensleyInnocent The unlocked kdz file is for model (LMG710AWM) which is an unlocked version sold in Canada. I am not sure about the screen recording because I did not check. Since then I gave the phone to a relative. I did notice that the kdz file was much smaller and had less pre-installed apps. There was no LG Smart Doctor, no TV app for example. Also the Korean lettering here and there was gone. I installed a third party launcher right away and did not explore too much.

Great video man, definitely deserves more views. So hows gaming with android10? I'd like to try the unofficial update if it improves the cpu throttling and usage in games like pubg. Right now my G7 doesn't even feel like a SD845 device in games. Frame drops like crazy and I'd like to avoid rooting. Any help appreciated, thanks man.

Generally the only reason why a smartphone becomes slow after an update is because of the cache coming from an older version. A reset should fix all of your problem. Make sure to backup everything!

@@KensleyInnocent so the link didn't work directly but i found a work around. I ended up downloading a 3rd party unzipp program that uses google drive i then extracted all to google drive and from google drive i downloaded the file to my computer. (it zipps the file back when downloading to computer. ) once on my computer i was able to extract it all no problem. then i continued with the steps on the video. phone restarted 2x. i also did a fresh install, checked my settings and it says android 10 software model G710ULM30b i did this on a LM-G710ULM that i bought from ebay with no S/N. so i guess i got what they call a franken phone. thanks so much, hope others that run into this issue read this comment.

Yes, you can. Download the Canadian KDZ tho. I didn't use the LG_UP, just follow the video, the cmd way is much easier

Make sure your phone is in adb debug is activated, reinstall LGUP and then retry. Don't forget this, the dll should be the one you downloaded, not the default found in LGUP.

If you're dual sim, try downloading a suitable KDZ for your country. I don't know if the Korean one support dual sim. If you're not dual sim then yeah you can download any of them(but I prefer the Canadian one, I did a video about the things that I don't like about it there kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gdljjbVjmJrSl2g.html)

Remove from title V40! Only android 10 rom available right now is from T-mobile. If you crossflash it to non TMO V40 you will get hard brick.

Turn it off. Press volume+ then connect the USB cable

You need to press the button first then connect (but I guess you understood that). If it doesn't work, try with volume down then connect your phone

Ahah, no problem. (if nothing works, make sure that you have the latest LG drivers installed)

@@KensleyInnocent yes, boot into edl mode, tried to flash but keep getting failed to open GPT, I searched online, tried some stuffs, download another ROM but all to no avail
