I gave up my s9+ for the g7 and I couldn't be happier. This is the first phone Ive had that im not alreadynlookingnfor the upgrade. Love this phone

The only downside is the battery life. If it had at least a 3500mah battery, it would of lasted at least 10 hours of heavy usage

tech42 Has nothing to do with the resolution it is! It's the color gamut that it's display is tuned to. And No, it's not better than Samsung's AMOLED panel! Yes, Apple does use Samsung's panel but it's tuned differently in house! Last thing, LG's brightness goes to 1,000 nits for 3 minutes maximum at a time. My Samsung s8 plus has a 1,000 nits at all times on maximum brightness. The Note 8 goes to 1,200 nits. I love the new LG G7 and it uses a high quality LCD panel with a wider color gamut but it's certainly not better than Samsung's! (I will say though, it's not by much).

Troy Truong same here. I remember liking the way the power button on the back would be able to light up during calls and other stuff. Also was one of the first with notification light. I think needs brought back.I would wait till end of the year though. Maybe LG V40 or Samsumg "Beyond" will be out

The volume coming out of the G7 made the iphone sound like a little kiddies phone . The iphone mic seems a bit weak when compared to the g7 as well as the s9 . Bugger all difference in speed . Big difference in price I'll bet . G7 headphone jack and dac ? G7 all the way !

aziz Shaikh iPhone X display is weak compared to LG or Samsung. Samsung makes iPhone X display but uses a worse version than what the S8 or S9 have. Its not even 2k.

You should've hit the boosted 1000 nits on the g7. Just press the percentage brightness at the left of the device when your turning up or down the brightness.

Nope LG doesn’t have what it takes to dethrone Apple. LG has a bad marketing team which makes it the most underrated phone in the USA. Unlike Apple they have a VERY good marketing team which they are good at what they do. Samsung and LG well...... both are good and just enough to dethrone each other, but it’s definitely almost impossible for LG to step up to the throne and become the #1 phone in the USA. Because Apple and Samsung have been used for many years in America that everyone wants it.

G7 would be a monster, if it wouldn't have a notch 😀 but yeah, good job by LG (I am tempted by that speaker, extra good quality headphone jack, screen with that extra bright option and of course performance optimization is good), the price seems fairly good as well and already there are some good deals

App loading times are based on optimisation more than anything else at this point. Both these phones have currently available flagship chips powering them.

wasn't aware there was one, do you know where that is located? prior to filming, I looked in settings for max brightness settings and couldn't find any info

Phone Battles there isn't a setting for that actually. It'll get activated if you hit the brightness percentage on the left hand side of the brightness slider. Once you tap on it you'll see boosted written and brightness will go up.

Does LG G7 gonna lag after long distance of using it? I just dont want to buy it if its the same as SAMSUNG...Got a bug and shutter ;-;

it's possible tbh since a lot of LG phones do lag. so far mine is fine but only been a few months.

Okay so I got the LG ThinQ and I don't regret it at all. The battery life is amazing so is the processing system. I've never had lagging issues. On top of that the speakers are amazing. The whole phone is like a speaker and it has left my family awestruck by it's power and performance. Not to mention the camera which is great too, the picture quality is good, not as good as the Google pixel 3 but it's better than what I had. On top of that the LG ThinQ has a camera designed for dark rooms and it's very impressive. I took some interior pictures of an old church and the camera could see more than I could in the dark, very impressive.

I've had both Samsung and iPhone. Never had anything different but I recently decided to try out the g7 thinq. And I can say that this phone is totally worth all the hype. It's very quick, the screen is very good looking and the speaker is super loud. It's a great phone and I'm really impressed. Best phone I've had

U use an older version of antutu in the g7.. It will score around 270k with antutu.v7 Btw the g7 looks very speedy i was slightly surprised by that performance from the g7 he even beats yhe ip x
