HERE I HAVE TAKEN APART ONE OF MY LG PK 7 XBOOM SPEEKER,S TO SHOW HOW ITS DUN IF BATTERY,S IS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED IN THE UNIT

@@grahamkennedy7395 The funny thing is, I found that even tho the plastic tube inside the jack socket had broken off, as long as the plug is well positioned inside the jack, the speaker still charges. Hope you have as good luck as I.

I had got to the point of a new jack and socket on ebay, and was going to go thru some finicky soldiering, when I worked that out.

Te agradezco muchísimo el video Pero necesitaría realmente un tutorial para ver paso a paso Cómo sacarle las baterías porque me sale muy caro llevarlo al centro de servicio para que se las hagan cambiar y no quiero arruinar mi bocina tampoco quiero que se maltrate entonces Te agradecería muchísimo que me mostraras cómo hacerlo en un video paso a paso, no importa qué tan largo sea pero con la garantía de que las cosas van a salir bien. Te garantizo que más de uno quedará muy contento y agradecido contigo si le muestras cómo hacerlo❤ No existe un solo video paso a paso a velocidad normal que muestre cómo tutorial Cómo desarmar esta bocina que suena tan bien , pero sin dañarla Viéndolo desde el punto económico por las reproducciones, te llevarías todas las Palmas pues no tendrías competencia

yes it has 2 18650 batterys in the pack

video update i just uploaded the video of how to remove the 2 batterys from the unit you can buy nw batterys on ebay for the pk5 or pk7 still in 2023 about £23 to £25 gbp

I have an issue where this device won't charge its light flashes red and Amber suggesting over heating? Do you rekon it just needs a good clean, it's out kitchen speaker I'm a cheff so it might just be oil build up?

For me, I have this speaker pk7. For some reason it disconnects, and then started to disconnect more frequently. I've had it since it first came out and my logic says it needs a new battery. Does this speaker take 2 X 2600mah batteries as I've noticed that it takes 5200mah battery. I need to open it up with an alen key too. Do I need to solder the new battery if I get it? Or I'm I better off just getting a new speaker? It should be said that the sound quality is very good with this speaker and I'm not sure what other speaker can pass this quality. Any help from somebody? Thanks 👍✨

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/194878649911?hash=item2d5fac3637:g:JXEAAOSw7lpiHCSf you can use the link here if you have ebay and buy new batterys thay are about £22 GBP and you need 2 of them as the pk7 use,s 2 batterys and yes sounds like the batterys are nackerd or like you said you can unsloder the board from the old ones and use new batterys but only if you know what your doing as thay are 18650 and can explode if you not know what your doing good luck hope you get it sorted asap

Looks like there's no soldering needed, they attach with connectors.

@@Jahreas yes thay have there own connectors but you can make the mah up by changeing the batterys to 3500mah and it will last a lot longet b4 you need charge the unit again if i mined right the battereys lg use is only 2500 or 2600mah in the unit

you will fined 4 black hex at both ends of the unit as you see in the video sorry i see i mised that step

My pk7 has a fault, if I unplug it from the mains it just turns off, and if I power it on from its battery, it turns on and lights up and makes a chime and then turns straight of again, I've left it over night to charge, makes no difference, and tried to install a firmware update and gets to about 90 percent and then drops the install, I'm at a loss, phoned LG, they want over a hundred quid to repair it, so dunno what to do

sounds like its your batterys that are nackerd use a multi meter to see the power that is in them if under 2v u need new one,s you can get new batterys on ebay co uk if thats the prob with them but please be carfull when replaceing batterys use proper LG made for the pk7 if aney probe you (or aney one ) can add me on facebook bw hogg my profile and we can video call and i will do my best to help on cam

@@dalehawke7621 the batterys are 18650 cell,s at 2500 to 2,600mah norm sanyo brand 4,20v fully charged and 2,5v empty under this the cell is nackerd and needs replaced if you know how to spot welld the batterys you can replace them your self saveing some money or just buy a new set you will fined like in my video you have 2 sets best to replace the 2 of them

encompass gave me this part number EBR85991001 and they are asking $106 for that tiny board. No way am I paying that much for a tiny board. I ended up buying the DC jack itself and soldering it. ( PHILMORE NO.214 ) I did a goggle search before posting this reply and did find the board on ued. net for $2.96 but cant verify if this is the part or if ued is legit. Why would one company ask $106 and another ask $2.96. Idk

Yeah the prices are crazy. I bought a whole used one where only the battery’s don’t work for 65 bucks I plan on swapping the power board from that to my old one. The power board fried my guess is due to moisture. The speaker is water resistant but NOT of your outside and have it on a charger. Only when that cover is securely closed

@@BA-vw2kx also you some black duck tape over the cover to help keep out the rain it works i do it to my own and i now have 3 pk7 s now
