It's crazy. I bought my Lg V40 in Nov 2019 for $215 💵. It looked brand new.. Like overstock. When they first released a year prior in Oct 2018 they sold for like $900 retail!! 🤯🤯 So it's almost been a year since I purchased it (10 months) and it's been a sexy DREAM! 👍🏼 I came from a Sammy and I'd heard a lot of crap from other people about LG so I was worried I wouldn't like this phone at all or feel ripped off or pissed off, but it's been the exact opposite for me. It's been FREAKIN AWESOME!!! It's FAST in every way. The sd845 chip and 6 Gb of ram is fast and enough. The screen is clear... bright enough in the sun to see what you're doing. 4.0+ Fast charging I got from the compatible razor phone company rocks. The battery lasts a long time ESPECIALLY for being on the small side. I popped a 512 GB memory chip in it so it can hold tons of movies and pics etc. I have movies and complete TV series on here for when I travel and don't have an internet connection. Game of thrones in HD anyone? That reminds me, The buffering... The modem and radio antenna on this phone is awesome. This phone is just seamless in every way. Knock on wood huh? So it makes me hard, can you tell? And the audio coming out of this beauty is the best period! I had heard about it from others and I didn't really get what they meant. I totally do now. The Strong Amp and DAC really are the best and there are no hiccups or sound issues with HD streaming. Now if you want to play music over its little speaker.. It sounds like any phone would sound. It's loud enough but that's not the real beauty of this thing. It's when you run it hard wired on some good cans or into your aux stereo input in the car or home etc. I have to have a headphone jack for HD music in my car and it kicks ass. Bluetooth is good too though and always connects fast and doesn't give me too much trouble. The Finger print reader on the back is instantaneous and bad ass too, and so is the face recognition. That surprised me because it's not supposed to be as secure or good as the iPhone stuff without infra-red...but it's still easy to use and fast. I don't know why LG gets so much bad press. To be fair the UI isn't as nice looking I guess...especially for the retail asking price. But they drop by more than 50% within 6 months of release so if you can wait just a few months and deal with the UI....get a skin for your damned phone.. .what more do you really want? And for so damn cheap? I'd TOTALLY buy A duplicate if it broke. If I can get another year out of this one, next is the V60 I think. Sammy or one plus is cool but I need that headphone jack and a flat screen! LG for the win!

At least it's got an aux port Color is nice But i don't plan to give up my v30 for a couple more years. It's my first smartphone. Before it i was using a pantech matrix that I'd had from christmas 2008 to November 2017. Nothing was wrong with it but I needed to start having a smartphone. Did my research, got an LG V30 in November 2017. The camera lens shattered in two different spots spontaneously. I kept my phone protected, never dropped and it randomly happened. I had it insured. Got my new one in the mail in January 2018. Since then i got a protector for the camera lens. Held up for two years as guaranteed. This has made me question the LG brand forever now which sucks because my first flip cellphone as a kid was an LG.

You know what this giant phone of mine has always needed? A second screen.🙃😂

It should be noted the Verizon version is actually a different phone built to support multiple speeds of 5G. Hence the different price.

I'm watching this from my new LG V60 ThinQ after trading in my Samsung Note 10 and I couldn't be happier.

The small white thing in the second screen is like a magnet. When you put the phone in the second screen you can charge your phone by putting the little thing on the bottom of the phone by the charger whole because that is the only way to charge your phone through the second screen.

I have this phone, there is a flickering issue with the second screen, make sure you follow the instructions when placing the phone into the slot for the dual screen.

Love my v60. Always liked LG. I like the underdog. The V60 is a beast. And will be legit for years to come. Of course battery will be shit in like 2 year so battery replacement sooner or later. 8k video recording is pretty ridiculous lol love it. LG is known for screens. They are still the best screens on TV'S period. Then Samsung. It goes for the phones normally as well.

Dang, I honestly wish that the device came with the magnetic charger for the phone alone, without the dual screen. Would be dope to just keep a small port piece inside of the phone and pop the magnetic cord onto the phone. Seems to be just as handy as wireless charging (which this phone also has, so major plus there too). Then again, I'd also like the piece to be removable just in case I want to use any other charger.

Still using LG v30. If it dies, I'm getting another v30. Screw upgrading, this phone is perfect.

The V60 cost $950 on at&t and tbe G8X cost $650 unlocked. I don't care about 5g or the camera. Do you feel that the V60 is worth the extra $300 anyway or would the G8X be a better buy?

Nice phone kinda makes me want to go back LG, but I left because they're is always late with OS updates. So I went back to Samsung. I may upgrade my Wife's phone to this since I'm with AT&T and the dual screen is included, even though it does hike up the price.

LG used to be ahead in design... Wtf happened. I remember I had the LG G2 which had really slim bezels and forehead for the time.

The problem is the selfie cam, if you fold it like a laptop the camera will be on the bottom, you can't put that part up because it weighs five times more than the extra screen part and will flop over. They need a flip out leg so it can sit like a laptop for video calls.

It's only 720CAD ,in Vancouver for the dual screen from Telus.LG may not be quite as updated as Samsung but they tend to give their customers a hell of a LOT MORE for MUCH LESS money than the other providers . I stopped using Samsung when my Note MELTED in my pocket and burnt my leg . i have had LG ever since and Thats the LG G4 G5 and G7 with absolutely ZERO problems . I think LG is a good solid alternative to the HUGE names.

I always carry a pixel and an LG. Actually looking forward to the v60. Just sad that they didn't go for a 90 hrz display. That would have really made it perfect. Or even 120 hrz. Then it would be a direct competitor to the s20 ultra.

Was a bit dissapointed when I learned the dual screen was an accessory (it looked so good I thought it was part of the phone) however that instantly went away when they said I'd get the dual screen for free

I bought 2 LG G7 for my kids just so they could be on KZfaq for $250 brand new and It was so much worth it than having to buy just one iPad for $500 or an iPod for 200 or even an iPhone for 1500 for something that does the same job imo better at it and I have an iphone.
