Today we’ll be looking at one of the more premium entries into the bluetooth speaker market with LG’s new XBOOM 360. This vase-shaped speaker has been specifically designed to blend seamlessly as part of your home decor, whilst the structure has been optimised to minimise distortion and evenly disperse the sound in every direction for true 360º audio experience.
That’s what’s promised, anyway, but we’ll looking into everything this speaker has to offer, the pros and cons and whether or not this is worth your money!
Before we start I want to say that LG have sponsored this video by sending the speakers over for me to test out. But as always this has no bearing on the actual review - this was written completely independently, and as usual I’ll be sharing just my honest thoughts with you.

I recently purchased this alongside the JBL Xtreme 3, Sony SRS-XG300, Marshall Middleton, B&O Beosound Explore, Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus 2, and most recently the Soundcore Motion X600. The LG XBoom 360 was the one I wound up keeping. I really wanted the B&O to sound at least close to the best cause I loved its look and it did sound better than the Bose, but it just couldn't stand against the big boys. The Sony, Marshall, and JBL sounded great, but once I heard the LG it's sound just took center stage. The Soundcore is the only one I tried that gives the Xboom 360 a solid run for its money. All the songs I listened to could go either way with one sounding better than the other depending on what was being played. The Soundcore was louder and gave me slightly more separation in the high range but it could also get a little piercing at times but the LG is just so pleasant to listen to even at max volume. LG wound up being the last man standing. There was one more positive and negative about the Soundcore. The negative was that the vocals were inconsistent and would sometimes get drowned out by the music depending on the song being played, but the positive was that out of all the speakers I tried it was the only one that had clear enough phonecall quality to be able to have actual conversations

Nice! Super interesting comparison. I feel like these LG speakers are going to price-out most people. But the sound is surprisingly good. Totally get what you mean about that pleasant tone 👌🏼

@InsideTech True but LG seems to have their Xboom series on sale pretty regularly which helps ALOT. I bought mine for $200 last month and LG's XBoom Go XG7, which actually sounds very similar, louder, but just not quite as full as the XBoom360 is $180 and I saw it on sale a few weeks ago for $150 so that should help fill the financial gap a bit. LG has really surprised me with their sound quality. Honestly out of all the units I played around with I had them last on my list and assumed they wouldn't sound nearly as good as Sony, JBL, or Marshall especially just by name alone but I was VERY pleasantly surprised they were on top

Thank you! If you're watching a movie on an iPhone then yes. There's a tiny delay on Android devices though so maybe not good for movies there. It depends on how much lip sync bothers you

@@insidetechltd Or on the connection type because there is no delay in AUX mode and who minds a small cable from your phone/device to your sound system. I certainly don't, especially not while I'm watching and perceptionally disconnected from the room I'm in.
