LG has a promotion on now ... offering a PL5 free if you buy an eligible OLED or a sound-bar .... I got mine free, but guess what they actually sent me a PL7 .... I love it and the sound is crisp with a slight edge on the lower frequency. Your voice came through flawless :) .... I still hook up my JBL Charge4 which is not bad at all. PL7 is definitely here to stay....beautiful design and great sound. Meridian seems to have found a thing or two. Life is Good LG : )

Much prefer the new design, and a pretty good battery life. The sound quality is amazing for the size of the product. Looks like another winner from LG. I think the mid sized speaker is the most practical and at a pretty good price point. Definitely going on the wish list!

I actually like the old design of the pk series as well. It's just the way the pk's are designed they won't fit as well into a backpack like the pl speakers do.

I just bought this today but I will be returning it. I need a loudspeaker and a useful microphone device. Whilst this sounds excellent and i have no issues with its quality of sound, its absolutely fantastic, clear, and loud but when using it as a speakerphone I give it zero marks. No one can hear me, and the voice on the receiver end breaks all the time. so back it goes because I have no other use for it. I do not listen to music on the go.

You can either turn your phone off! if you feel that strongly or you might try using an MP3 & leave your mobile anywhere but on your person. You shall receive my invoice in due course, ignorance & buyers regret I've no sympathy for, everyone has to be critical of product they should have known about before parting with hard earned cash for. I know very little about the computer world, & as such i research such products. It's not a speakerphone! that should have been your 1st warning that maybe you should get someone else with a better knowledge than yourself before you buy?

Both pl5 and pl7 is way expensive in campaired to JBL charge 4. . . BTW- In India jbl charge 4 is around 170$ and lg boombox pl5 is around 204$. So if u r making ur mind to buy pl5 or pl7 I suggest u all to go with JBL Xtreme as it same as cost of lg pl5 and provide good sound nd bass in comparison to pl5.

Where's the $100, 000 speaker tech? Because this ain't it. I'm not saying they're not good, but $100,000...really? It might be more helpful if you include "paid promotion" on the video. I know it's in the description, but let's be honest hardly anyone reads the video description. They do seem like great speakers for the price though

The Pl7 has the jack & wire included, but i feel it only fair to warn you to try it 1st, the Bluetooth connection is not only superior in sound, but the volume difference alone will give you food for thought,& more besides. good luck

I had PK7 and I was very disappointed. Good quality of sound, but power is so week. I had to return it. Better choice us UE MEGABOOM and UE MEGABOOM 3. Cost less £.

Nice handy speaker but my beo12 which is like almost 7-8 years old sounds better then this. But they are not fully Bluetooth speakers but work on my WiFi network.

There are better sound Bluetooth speaker at much cheaper.... I have one with 2x4.5in bass and 2x2.15in tweeter.... the box is wooden with metal wrap around and have a tunnel construction. Size slightly bigger then what you have. Output is 60watts and can play for 10hrs at 50% volume. Price only US$35
