Question of the Day; What is your favorite hobby? I would say this channel is mine. Whenever I’m not busy, I really enjoy scrolling through Tik Tok to make these videos. I really love putting this content out for you all. Letting you feel comfortable, loved, represented, and hopefully happy. Another hobby other than this channel could be writing. I enjoy creative writing but I rarely have the creative energy to create something worthwhile. Instead, I enjoy educational writing more. I like writing essays on certain topics, being able to collect things I’ve learned and learned new things in order to make a point or educate people on something that is going on.
Just a little warning I’m about to go on a rant about my favorite TV show so if you want to skip over this feel free to. No spoilers though, you don’t have to worry about those. :)
So, Season 2 of my favorite TV show, The Boys, started to come out last Friday. They released the first three episodes September 4th and the 4th episode this Friday. And let me tell you, this season is AMAZING!! I had high expectations going into this season based on how much I had enjoyed the first one, and they managed to make this season even better. So, little background on what the show is... The Boys aims to put superheroes into our world and make them realistic. Often with superheroes, they are displayed as being these people who use their powers for good. In The Boys, they portray them in a different light. What would superheroes actually be like? If someone actually had superpowers, what would they do with them? How would they view others? How would they view themselves? How would this change the society we live in? Would they view themselves as superior to other human beings? View themselves as something above us and not care about humanity? Would they be corrupted by the power they hold and use that power carelessly? The Boys aims to make superheroes realistic and succeeds. One other thing The Boys does is it aims to hold up a fractured mirror to us, to show us our world in this broken version of our own. This is one of the things the show does best. This can be seen through it’s portrayal of capitalism, homophobia, sexism, racism, etc. The show only reflects the things that are already present in our world. I will warn you, if you plan on watching this show after what I’ve said- It is dark, bloody, harsh, and sometimes hard to watch. If you think you might not be able to handle it, then don’t try to.
Remember to try to eat and stay hydrated. Remember to follow precautions and bind safely if you are binding. These include not wearing a binder for over 8 hours, stretching, taking breaks, and just breathing. And if you are tucking please follow precautions so you can do it safely. Just like binding, you shouldn’t tuck for over 8 hours. If you can take breaks, then it is advised. With both binding and tucking please read up on advises precautions for safety and possible risks. And remember that no matter what you are going though now, no matter how hard it will seem- it always gets better. I know this is something you’ve probably heard a lot but you only hear it because it’s true. It could get harder before it gets better but it does get better.
