I worked for a company in the 90s that built and tested antennas and microwave comm gear, and they still used an Osborne to do some kind of analysis because it was the only machine with the right software.

My mom had an Osborne, maybe even two. I played Space Invaders on that thing in '81 :). If you wanted a different color monitor you put a yellow-tinted glass over the screen...which was the size of a postcard.

LGR tech tales of radioshack!? ?! This one is more in my lifetime and meaningful to me (as one who liked to go to radioshack on in my childhood for electronic parts like capacitors and LEDs and robot toys)

You should do a short presentation on the rise and fall of Commodore International. Jack Tramiel was a fascinating if ruthless founder.

I know I’m extremely late to the party, but I stumbled across this particular video only today. (I’ve been watching LGR for a few years now.) What makes this particular video significant to me was that an Osborne computer, which I forget the exact model, was the first computer my father brought home when I was 7 years old. It led to my love of computers. As short lived as the company was it will always have a place in my heart.

This is great! Awesome idea for a series and done in a very digestible way, often shows along this line are unnecessarily drawn out but this is spot on the dot. Here's looking forward to future episodes!

I really really really like this series! Not only I like it, I'm now very excited for future episodes. Being a big fan of computers I enjoy reading cool little stories like this about random companies, hardware, software and whatever else. And the more obscure the topic is, the better the videos is going to be! I never heard of Osborn, but this was definitely an interesting watch, and you presented it in the standard LGR style that I have come to love all this years. If I want's clear enough: LOVE IT, MAKE MORE!!

Great episode! If there's one thing I love looking up it's history relating to computers and video games. My favourite part of retrospectives and old game reviews are the history behind the games and tech. Interesting stuff

I've spent nearly a month now grazing on all your content and have to say you have an incredible knack for presentation and speaking. What I mean is you can talk about very dry techy stuff to someone like me who barley has any interest in computers and I always end up very interested in what you have to say, plus I've learned a lot about all the old computer systems and consoles I used to use as a kid, such as our BBC Micro and Atari system and lots of other interesting trivia such as this. Keep up the great work (and amazing Duke impression too)
