This is the complete ‪@VCFSW‬ experience! At least as it was for me in 2024. Flying from North Carolina to Texas, getting settled in Dallas, a ton of wandering around the show itself, visiting the National Videogame Museum, then traveling back home and going for a hike.

Even if the phones needed the retrobright, they don't have the budget for it. Hotels tend to cut costs these days, and this is coming from someone who works as a housekeeper.

Clint it was a great pleasure to meet you! I never dreamed that my MiniDisc collection would end up in one of your videos on one of your channels.😊 I should've shown you that VU meter MD car Deck in action when I bumped into you(again) going down the stairs at the car park since were literally feet away from it. I didn't want to intrude further, so I didn't but it was nice talking to you on the way into the building & taking a photo with the MD car deck you did show on the video. Thank you!😊 I also had no idea you also went to the video game museum too. I must of barely missed you because I left around the time you showed up. I did notice you did meet Asivery (the developer for WebMD) at the video game museum when discussing the Apple II's. He's a young bright mind and being into retro tech and coding for it at such a young age is commendable. 😊 I'm also happy to see Blerbs back! I did want to ask you if you would mind doing a video on a Japanese dictionary/organizer set of Machines I've gotten. They would make for an interesting video. I did have them in the room when you came in but weren't out on display unfortunately. 😢

The 'MC Mechanic' that Andrew handed you @31:00 is a microchannel POST code reader; Although the cheap parallel port POST code readers work on all PS/2s, Eric (TubeTimeUS) designed the MC Mechanic. You can almost read the credits on the reverse side (I've done a video on it to see it fully populated), including for my limited input for his project. I don't know if it could make your relationship with microchannel systems any easier...

11:39 - A Microbee! That's a LONG way from home. It's an Australian educational computer that I'm very fond of.

It was very good to see The Usborne Book Of The Future on the shelf behind you. I hope you love your copy as much as I love mine.

My second pc was a petroleum green Acer Aspire. I LOVED it!!! Very upgradable with a unique design. It was only when wanted to go SCSI that I got rid of it.

I had that exact computer and monitor as a hand me down for a while... It ran older games reasonably well for a while but the motherboard crapped out on me after a few months

Great stuff, that looks like a really nice convention. I wish we had that kind of stuff in Romania, but there was just a tiny Tech Expo a bit earlier... I'm glad we got a bit of nature footage too. :)
