I would rather drive around there than just sit for hours on a 3 lane motorway just going through the motions. Great bit of scenery.

That bridge looks narrower than it is, and still gets me every time, 40 years after passing my test.

I drove those roads for 30yrs as a PCV Driver on a 12m coach, that bridge always made my backside tweak especially if someone was horsing along.

I drive many times in a 44 and those two bridges get me......I drove up 1 summer nothing behind me(well a thought that) and a motorbike overtook me doing a ton I nearly sh1t my trousers 😂 wasn't funny at the time.

I had a run up to East Kilbride Monday - 2 am start, aiming for sedbury layby past scotch corner in first hit (from Ely, cambs) 24 pallets of office furniture and stuff, started to get drowsy after 3 hours so stopped at Wetherby, or where I could one hit it from. I were looking forward to one of their sausage and black pudding sarnies - brown sauce and all! Yes It's great scenery even in the borders, on the way back, noticing the layers of mist between the fells past Carlisle, beautiful and a priviledge to watch. Was in a DAF like yours, a 19 plate 460, not a bad old girl but sticks at 88 kmh, will go faster with eco off and foot on the button though, but that starts to ache and it does make her drink a bit with eco off. Keep on truckin Borrothea! :) Good video on the safe driving stuff!
