Why can’t they just do a mid season swap with Perez to RB and Riccardo to Redbull see how they perform in each others cars

I guess that Checo has in his contract that he can’t be put in the VCARB. I think the aim is, if Checo doesn’t perform the coming 2 races, that DR might get the RBR seat for the rest of the season and Liam DR’s seat at VCARB.

Pretty much Liam's only chance is if Ricciardo gets promoted to the senior team (which is pretty likely) because he's infinitely more valuable to RB. VCARB for instance has more points in 11 races than full season last year. Thats $17M + all the marketing and development benefits. This whole 'under threat' story is a hilarious beat up.

I feel sorry for Danny Rick a bit .... He's in a Junior / Back marker team, with people expecting him to pull out Alonso results (getting more out of the car than otherwise thought possible), and he's just not that type of driver. If the car is there , and suited to his style then he will be successful. If the car isn't suited to his style , then while he may adapt and get the most out of the car that he can, he will struggle.

The biggest problem I think is that Yuki is a fair yardstick, and Daniel keeps coming up short. New Chassis and all.

Charles drove the wheels of that Alfa to show his worth to Ferrari and Russel in a Williams to get a Mercedes drive. He had plenty of chances and the way Liam drove during Ric's arm injury doesn't help along with Yuki looking great most of the time. Not enough seats on the grid unfortunately. I like Ric but he's past the put up or shut up phase of his career.

@@stephensegal5187Not true. Daniel has out qualified and out raced Yuki recently. The problem is Helmut. Always has been. If Helmut and Red Bull (not Horner who wants sell the team and supply engines and components - savvy) want a junior team then go and race F2. Helmut is living in the past and won’t move forward like Horner wants to. He’s a dinosaur. Ricciardo has brought VCARB, and Yuki, forward but Helmut doesn’t appreciate or respect that. As the video says, Helmut doesn’t call the shots anymore but he’s in denial. If Daniel goes to Williams then Lawson can stay at VCARB. If Liam goes to Audi then good on him. The loser in all of this will be Sainz who won’t make a decision. Red Bull won’t take him at VCARB. They have too many up and comers in F2 & F3.

Sounds like any other upper mid tier driver. He isnt the guy he thought he was. What would Max or Lando or Charles do in a Vcarb, definitely not losing to Yuki

Daniel needs to be in Checo's car. His brilliant test was in one of max's cars. He is the only one who can take it to max! (Try swapping Daniel and Sergio for 5 races) See what that brings, i mean no one at red bull cares what Sergio's place in the drivers championship ends up being. The big drama for Marko would be if Daniel beats Max to often

They really should put Lawson straight in the main team instead of Perez, unlikely to be any worse and perfectly acceptable not to beat your team mate as a rookie. Having a driver who is defeated before the weekend starts is ridiculous. Also Liam is a better future prospect should Max leave down the track and the team would be better covered if a young drivers starts now.

I don’t understand why RB needs a CEO when they have a team principal and Mario as adviser. I understand a COO who takes care of all the functions not directly related to racing or building the car, such as marketing, HR, etc but that’s not usually a CEO.

I love danny ric, i think he has much more to offer f1....as someone else mentioned here dan could / should be (maybe is?) a mentor to Liam. However, i have issues with RB considering the way they treated Brendon Hartley. They destroyed his f1 ambitions whilst promoting Gasly. Not cool. Anyway, being a proud kiwi, i want to see Liam in a McLaren asap.

Everyone is ignoring the Perez factor. We have 3 teams who are performing better then Perez. Mercs, Ferrari, and The Macs are now knocking on the door of a single Red Bull Max. The solo performer. Perez will cost top spot on the constructors table with a possible loss of @17million dollars on top of the car damage. Perez will cost the team 20 million $ if he continues his form…. Replace Perez with Danny. Watch what Red Bull do once top spot on the constructors is under threat mid way 5his season.

What I think about Sainz, is that He already has a "secret" deal with RedBull. It only makes sense. RedBull is just limping along with Perez, and Sainz would not only solve that issue, but also make Max have to think twice about going elsewhere.....

Yuki isn't good. Gasley beat him handley every season and Gasley wasn't good enough apparently for a red bull drive. Now suddenly Yuki is good because he beat a washed Ricardo who granted has been more tired up doing PR than racing but Yuki beat Ricardo and devries and got beat by liam with no notice.

Another simpleton dribbling nonsense. Since the new chassis he’s bested Yuki except for a single qualifying. He’s responsible for the team even having a major sponsor. And Marko has no say in anything and hasn’t for years, he’s just dribbling bs to stir trouble. If he had any real pull he should be helping Lawson get sponsors because without them he’s not getting a seat with any team.

It wouldn't surprise me if Carlos takes a sabbatical for a year. Unless he drives for Red Bull or Mecedes or even McLaren in 2025 (Which is very unlikely). The rest are junk teams that have no chance of winning.

Daniel is a "has been". his problem is he cant show results unless he is "in tune" with the car. well, look at Max, or Leclerc when at Sauber, or Russell at Williams and others. some drivers can push a bad handling car to the limits and get results which Daniel cannot and has not been able to do. I say get rid of Checo and Daniel asap and put Liam in the RB seat.

Many of the F1 commentators are very bias against Spanish and Latin American drivers. Ricardo looks like a nice guy but RB has been more than patient. You should be fair and treat all drivers the same. You don’t now!
