Although Lian Li UNI Fans were always present at the top of every Benchmark Chart, each had a fatal flaw: too much RGB. With the new Lian LI UNI Fan P28, they removed all of that FPS limiting lightening and replace it with raw performance! Let's take a closer look!

So underrated channel, so underrated... When i find it i think i view 20 or 30 videos about fans. I have got Phatneks PH-TC14PE - it's 140mm dual tower air cooler in black color, but with white frame fans... And i still looking for great 140mm fans.

Maybe invert the noise axis for the radiator graph so that the lines grow up with rising noise levels?
@Garrett1974

P12 Max is simply not an option, lots of people complain about weird noises it makes, something is definitely up with those fans... QC issues maybe? At 11:30 I can see that the fan mounting holes are "deeper"... so when screwing the fans on radiators you can use the same screws as on 25mm fans...that is some good thinking on Lian Li's part there 👌 (but that's also mentioned at 12:00 thanks STS!)

If noise is an issue maybe these wont fit either. They seem to have a highpitch sound profile. Another youtuber talked about it at about the 8:15 mark : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qbxjksuVytqRmGw.html&pp=ygUDUDI4

I can confirm that, order 3 of those and all of them had that high pitched whine. I could not hear the fan itself but the bearing whine noise. Returned them immedietely

Finally a centipede fan without rgb. Now they just have to add a version that spins clockwise to reduce turbulence, and sweep the bars that hold the motor in place like in the Silverstone AirPenetrator 180 and they have a sell.
@Shyvorix
@Shyvorix 5 ай бұрын
Is there even any fan on the market that spins clockwise without it being reverse flow? I heavily doubt that the direction would matter when it comes to turbulence, only distance between the fan itself and whatever restriction it is closest to, hence noctua has those spacers for their fans, and many folks with custom 3D-printed ones. As for the bars being swept, ngl I rarely if ever see them like that. Would be interesting to see the difference between those with and without in the same product line.

I see Lian Li gives a lot of info on the P28 details, where the state cfm, noise and statir pressure at the 3 modes the fan performs, that way you have a better idea... Correct me if Im wrong, but others only tell you the rpm and cfm at each mode, not static pressure... They are meant for.use on fins array (to push through), static pressure info is most important info for each mode 😊
@STSYT
@STSYT Жыл бұрын
As most fans out there don’t come with any sort of ‘modes’, you usually only get the numbers for max speed. Lian li did us a little favor by providing the CFM for each mode they created. Having the Static pressure too would have been nice though
@STSYT
@STSYT Жыл бұрын
Don’t forget that CFM and Static Pressure are very theoretical numbers. The numbers that you read on spec sheets are either with absolutely 0 restrictions (cfm) or with 100% restriction and the absolute max amount of pressure a fan can lift (static pressure) While one of them is at 100%, the other one will be at 0. Thus, neither can ever be achieved. Neither of the three (rpm,cfm,ss) can give you a full image of how it will perform, but all three combined can paint a pretty good picture

According to the chart at 2:23, the Phanteks T30 (about 80 degrees) is an insane 23-24 degrees HOTTER than the Lian Li UNI (57-58 degrees) when both running at 42 decibels. Are you sure that chart is correct? That seems absolutely outrageous especially considering the Phanteks T30 is generally considered one of the best, if not the best, 120 mm fans. Not only that, but for most of the chart the Phanteks T30 is in second-last place and is often a whopping 5-15 degrees hotter than almost all the other fans despite it basically being the best 120 mm fan. Something seems wayyy off with some of these charts. Same story with the Arctic P12 and P12 max. At the same volume, 42 decibels, the non-max (87 degrees) is somehow a ridiculous 24 degrees hotter than the max (around 63 degrees). I feel like something is way, way, way off with some of these charts, especially the noise-to-temp charts. In order to get a whopping 20-25 degree C difference with fans, you have to basically have one fan run at full speed and have the other fan basically turned off completely. There's no way 2 fairly similar fans (besides higher max RPM) like the P12 and P12 max are going to have an outrageous 20-25 degree difference in temperature when running at identical decibels. There's just no way.

@STSYT
@STSYT Жыл бұрын
Hard to tell without very specific and expensive machinery. But at 950, the difference between the T30 and P28 will be minimal at best. Doubt that you will be able to get a measurable difference in an actual build No comment on the Gentle though. What I can do is use all the numbers we gathered and try to estimate both fans down to +\- 1k rpm. It won’t be 100% accurate cause we’re writing down things in % of max rpm, but estimated. If you really want that answer, please remind me with a comment after next Wednesday when I’m back in the office (new comment, cause I don’t get notified about answers to older ones)

The t30 color is attractive to you? Fair enough. I returned them bc they looked like they were caked with 7 years of dust compared to everything else in my case and I really didn’t like the sound profile even at low rpm’s. I love the sound profile of my 12x25’s but the blades also have that dusty look. Thank god they only made the blades out of LCP so they’re pretty much unnoticeable.

Yes, something seems way off with his volume-to-temp graphs in this and other videos. According to the graph here at 2:23, the Phanteks T30 - basically the best non-crazy-industrial 120 mm PC fan - is an outrageous 23-24 degrees hotter than the Lian Li Uni when both running at 42 decibels. Furthermore, it shows the Phanteks T30 in 2nd-LAST place throughout almost the entire graph, what the? Also, even though the P12 and P12 max are fairly similar (besides max RPM), it shows the P12 at an absolutely ridiculous 24 degrees hotter than the P12 Max when they're both running at the same 42 decibels. In order to have a difference of 25-ish degrees C, you'd have to have something like 1 fan running at full speed and the other practically turned completely off, yet the P12 and P12 Max are almost 25 degrees apart while running at the same decibels??? What??? The charts are sooooooo wrong; either that or his sensors & instruments are completely broken.
