I honestly think Mnet released those results to motivate the international fans (and hopefully some Korean fans) to vote for the Japanese and Chinese contestants. It seems like they are worried it might end up all Korean and they don’t want that since it was marketed as a “global girl group” not a Korean girl group. But yeah, I am sure my face looked similar when I saw the interim rankings, my thoughts were “what the heck happened here?”

yes, I'm glad mnet do it. This is the first time I actually happy with mnet💀 but they did a great job. If they want this group to be success in global especially japan market and china market, they have to be at least debuting 2J and 2C. 8K 1C? it seems that japanese and chinese fans (in conclusion global fans) will boycott/ignoring the final line up

Well it’s a little too late tbh. After crucifying c-trainees and barely giving screen time to j-trainees, how are they going to convince people to now vote for them. This result is exactly what they should’ve expected after pulling those antics.

I don't actually understand why people think that will change the results much The results are weighted, if 50 Billion International Votes were cast it would still be equal if only a Thousand Korean Votes were cast (extreme example I know) What matters is the % split of both Korean and International Votes Korean Votes are atleast 90% to K-Group, whereas International Votes seem to be fairly evenly spread around (perhaps also more to K-Group) if we take the following to be True Korean vote split 90K/5J/5C International Vote Split 35K/35J/30C Then the total Vote split is K-Group = 62.5% J-Group = 20% C-Group = 17.5% Either International Fans need to stop voting for their K-Group Bias, OR Korean Voters need to vote for an International Girl, both of these are unfair to ask, the Truth is Mnet failed the Fans of the Show by not understanding their own system

@@sleepinggiant4145 i dont think they will change the worth of the votes especially in the final. They have set the worth of the korean votes and they should stick with it no matter if the international votes suddenly rocketed. 1 korean vote= 10 international vote is already quite a stretch.

@@saniapujianti3378 no you don't understand, there is no set worth of Korean Votes and International Votes, they are WEIGHTED after the fact If there are the same number of Korean Votes to International Votes than all Votes would count the same under this system but there are not If there are Twice as many International Votes the Koreans votes will then be worth 2 times the International ones If there are 3 times as many International Votes the Koreans votes will then be worth 3 times the International ones and so on and so forth The reason they are worth around 10, is because there are around 10 times as many International Votes than Korean Votes at the First Elimination there were I believe 8.3 International Votes for every Korean vote and thus each Korean Vote for that First Elimination became worth 8.3 International Votes More International Votes will just means more Value to Korean Votes, what matters is how both groups divide their votes between the Girls

This show is so disrespectful to the Chinese and Japanese girls… Like not only did they leave their country for this show, J girls got erased entirely, C girls got evil edited and Ma Yuling said herself the C girls were treated differently ( badly lol ) by the staff and often cried together… All this discrimination and struggles for NOTHING. In the end only K girls might make it.

It was an "translation error" makes that nickname since Fu Ya Ning in Korean might pronounce like "Phu Ya Nim" and it translates as "Master/Lord Phu Ya"(or something like that) ,and it matches her characteristics which lead to this nickname

Everything should be asking themselves this: if the show was made in your country, you only got one vote, your country has the deepest talent pool and you know your country’s trainees trained the longest (so you feel bad for them), would you vote for a foreigner or someone from your country with that one vote?

You aren't really to blame. Korean votes weigh heavier than overseas votes because there are more overseas votes to they have to even it out. Koreans are only going to vote Korean contestants, to them, the J and C group were just groups they were forced to vote for.... please vote for our C and J girls. This is more of their last chance.. K girls have agencies or can easily go get signed immediately after and debut soon anyway. Especially C girls... this is their only chance to make it in K-Pop.

Here is the situation and the problems: my opinions only after today's interim rankings - 1) Kpop girl groups consisting of 90% Korean girls are popping up every other week and are not special and often only popular within Korea; if Mnet really want this PG999 girl group to go global, they should have stuck to the 3 vote - 1C/1J/1K formula to the end and that the debut group consists of 3C/3J/3K. This will ensure the debut group will get support from the whole world instead of just Korea 2) since Mnet changed to the 1 vote in this final, the fans are split into two camps - the Korean fans will vote only Korean trainees and international fans will vote 90% C and J trainees as they are more memorable and charismatic than most of the K trainees 3) the sad part is that Mnet weighted the votes to favour Korean trainees as one Korean vote = 10 international votes - the international fans and C and J traiees have no chance to debut if this is the voting system 4) If the debut group ends up with 8 K trainees and 1 foreign - it will be a flop globally. The international fans will not support it and they will feel resentful and the new group is just another Kpop girl group consisting of majority K girls - nothing special 5) in fact, if another company has the smarts to pick up the 5 C and 4 J trainees + Cai Bing + maybe 1 -2 K non debut trainees and form a new girl group, I bet this new girl group will outshine the PL999 girl group by a mile 6) Any of the C and J trainees in the top 18 have huge fan bases internationally and can go solo and/or join any company and girl group and be instant stars 7) it's really Mnet and Korea's loss if the final voting system is not changed to become more fairer 8) if this interim vote is any indication of the final lineup, the Friday finale will be anti-climatic. Then I would wish the whole fricking debut group to be only K trainees and the remaining five C and four J trainees form their own girl s group outside of Mnet's evil control - what a loser company = A total SNAKE! 9) what's the point of inviting 66 foreign trainees to participate in the program if Mnet is so insecured about foreign trainees outshining the K trainees?

Mnet is a shait company that should have been banned from making survival shows. To be honest, I don't trust any korean companies whenever say they want a ''global'' group. The word global doesn't mean the same for them like for us.

you said EVERYTHING that needed to be said.. I think they should have done a system where you still have to pick 1 from each group, but you first pick your TOP pick which receives more points, and your 2nd and 3rd receive less. Then 1-3 from each group C,K,J can debut...... right now with not any Japanese member MNET is fucked because they need money from Japanese fans. What a mess.

I don't like the one pick from each group though. Because it forces you to pick someone from a group even if it's not your pick. Which leads to "filler votes" like to xiaoting hence her ranking so high. I would prefer voting for 9 trainees from any group so this "I think she's safe, so I will vote for others" thing won't happen (happened with xiaoting, hikaru, etc). I'm sure that way there will still be a good ratio of k and foreigners (at most probably 5 k? I'm sure most people have xiaoting, yurina, hikaru, mashiro, etc in their lineup) since it is rare anyways to find someone with all 9 k picks. It is just most people's MAIN pick is from k group. Many people love xiaoting but she is not THE pick.

Why invite C and J trainees if they'll just debut a group full of K trainees. This is a mess. I feel like I've wasted my months supporting the show. I feel bad for the girls who truly deserves a spot in the final lineup. If the interim ranking became the final lineup then it will def flop. Global fans will lose their interest. I don't even want to imagine their concept lmao. People should vote for the trainees who can suit any concept possible. But with the age lineup now they'll just end up having cutesy concept once again. 🤦♀️

Can you please throw that 1 Korean vote is equal to 10 international votes away because that is not true. The ratio is not constant. The only thing that is constant is the percentage which is 50% Korean votes and 50% international votes. The ratio changes as one side increases or decreases. Example. If you take 100 voters. If 20 are Korean and 80 are international fans, then the ratio will be 1 Korean vote is equal to 4 international votes. If more international fans are voting and it becomes 2 Korean voters and 98 international voters, then 1 Korean vote will be equal to 49 international votes. The ratio is therefore not balanced as it all depends on the number of people voting on each side. If more Koreans are voting, their votes will Carry less power and if more international fans are voting, their votes will carry less power. That 1:10 was data collected from only one episode and not a constant ratio

@@mootubz The 'We go up helicopter...' thing was all scripted by Mnet. Mnet evil edited her. Mnet wanted to create a fake drama between them to make the show more popular. There was no such drama between them in real life. In fact, Fu Yaning and Yujin are best friends in real life. Fu Yaning and Yujin were seen shopping together and holding each others hands. Also Yaning and Yujin danced to helicopter together during the fan meeting, they both hug each other and Yaning did a 90 degrees bow to Yujin. Yaning respects Yujin, complimented Yujin several times. Yaning told yujin 'Yujin Unnie, You're the best' Many current and former contestants also cheer for Yaning.

I am sad that Shana and Fu Yaning are not part of the top 9 in the interim ranking, but what makes me shocked the most is Shen Xiaoting from no. 1 down to 16. She is meant to be the center of this group. If she will not be part of the debut team, this whole show will be a joke. Btw, vote for Shana and Fu Yaning.
