I worked at the Liberace Museum and let me tell you, sometimes I caught myself just gawking at all his clothes. My favorite was one with the long, ostrich feathers and those capes ... the singers today would be so jealous. And if you saw the pianos. I

Liberace was one of the top greatest , memorable , amazing , unique , dazzling characters God blessed the Earth with , could not imagine not being a fan . His wardrobe was absolutely beautiful and amazing , and his jewelry was nothing would ever see , they were fatastically beautiful and unique like Lee himself . I wish I knew him personally , what a great friends he would have been . Remembered his tragic passing day after my birthday , growing up and living in the UK and hearing about it there tv , radio and front page news . He had beautiful homes , and I rarely have favorites of anything but my favorite is the one in Las Vegas . There would NEVER be another like the great Liberace .

There's a line in Rocky Horror Picture Show, Some days even smiling makes my face ache. After that There's plastic surgery & cosmetic dentistry. At one point I had my bonding sculpted so I had a smile you could see from 200 hundred feet & i barely had to open my mouth 👄 XoXo

I knew Liberace -also Michael Travis his main costume designer. This is a fun take -having the same entrances repeated consecutively with different costumes. To any designers who have occasion to design for pianists ...if the jacket isn't a coat with tails then it must be either a waiter's style or exceedingly short and preferably a cutaway -otherwise the pianist is constantly sitting on the lower hem on either side which inevitably restricts the player's reach. In turn this causes, if not mistakes, then a constant distraction which will fowl the player's mood. xoxo 🌹❤️

Does everyone notice when he came out in the plain blue coat, the audience didn't respond...they didn't want to see Lee dress in 'normal' clothes. They loved him when he was wild, over the top. That is what we all loved about him and his shows.

I see where Elvis got the idea for his sideburns..!! Michael Jackson even had some clothes like what liberace had on.. Liberace was ahead of his time.. I like some of the splashy suit coats, but I don’t care for the pants to match the suit coat.. I guess that sounds crazy but it just seems like it’s too much of the same color..

@Gregory Smith I thing it was him he who wanted it so. After a life of acting and fiction, wich he wanted and had to carry on, in the supreme moment te look off all the sequins, the costumes that were fictions. I think him always understood all of this and that it weighed on him and he wanted to present himself as "only" a man with his abilities, is frailties and to be loved for it. Sorry, for the mistakes, i don't know the language well. As an artist for Liberace he was real star!
@blucolife
@blucolife 2 жыл бұрын
@@violagatto9456 But he loved the costumes, loved the white rolls royce being driven by his boyfriend, loved the glamour and the showmanship. He brought classical music to the masses, and made it fun. He wasn't some bore in a tuxedo, playing for the aristocracy, he played for the common man.

Did he ever wear the same jacket twice...? He must have had hundreds of such expensive jackets.. Is it me or does it take 3 minutes to know he was a man who preferred men. It must have been a curse for him to be born with that"problem" especially in those early days..as for all such men.
