Lightning struck and started a garage fire that destroyed everything inside except the contents of the Liberty Colonial 23 safe. "I never realized I would need it so soon." Special thanks to Mr. Glover for sharing his story with us.

I'm confused, why would you purchase a new one. Isn't there a lifetime warranty against break in or fire. Doesn't the warranty cover a new safe.

they give you credits to get a new one or use them twords a step up in models. but it's no cost to get the same model delivered and installed

Do you know what the fire rating of the safe was? And does anyone happen to know how long the fire burned? It looks like it burned a little longer than its rating, but still did very well.

I'm not impressed, I was expecting everything to be completely clean and unharmed, makes me feel it wouldn't have survived a house fire

Lol smoke and fire are a hell of a thing. Just to have belongings survive it is an accomplishment. You also want it to stay clean? Won't happen.

the fire must've been really hot, theres another video on here with a guy whole house burned down but inside his liberty looked pretty clean compared to this

also depends on which liberty you get some have better insulation for longer burn times

He said it was in his garage, with a boat (fiberglass?) and other gas powered stuff. That fire was probably hotter than an average house fire.

Same but - To be fair unless your spending thousands on a safe I would recommend having a safe in a safe for money, and paper work that can not be harmed. Thankfully it was a liberty and not some random box store buy!
