This video reminds me of when I used to work in a bookstore and every other day, a little old man used to come into the store and sit and read the books, get comfy in a chair and he’s eventually fall asleep. He was a sweet soul. He never bought anything and he was no bother, he just seemed lonely and comforted by the environment ❤️ we used to leave him be and let him do his thing

I first discovered my proclivity for tingles at a school library in 2nd grade.. whenever a teacher helped another student read or check out a book I would overhear the quiet conversation and supportive affirmation and help and instantly be soothed and tingle to the point that I'd nearly fall asleep on the spot. Wonderful memories. My most prominent trigger is hearing quiet conversation of someone getting help from an older expert. I know it's quite specific, but I've never had it matched. A school library is where I first had tingles. I was about 14 and could never understand why I'd want to fall asleep at the sound of my class turning pages and I'd get so mad when they stopped. Page turning is my absolute favourite sound still to this day. This video is perfect 👌

I'll never understand how you manage to talk so softly without whispering. I love the lilt in your speech, and how you will get quieter but then enunciate certain parts of your sentence and become more audible without getting louder somehow. One of my favorite things about your videos 💜💜

Ahh, the trigger that started it all - ruffling through a pencil case 😍 Never understood why I found it so pleasant in school, and of course I never spoke of it to anyone because at the time ASMR was not a thing 😂

As a librarian myself, I always find it interesting when people do "librarian roleplays." I always want to know how accurate they are to what we really do. This covers the basics pretty well! Plus I love the Queen of ASMR as a librarian. ^^

Omg librarians always gave me tingles when I was a kid, the gentle way they would handle books, write in the cards, etc. I'm so grateful for this video!!! Can't believe that someone had this idea, it's so perfect. This channel is def my new ASMR obsession 😍

I knooow ! I worked in a cultural center with a gallery on the first floor and a library on the 2nd and when work was a bit too stressful or overwhelming, going up to the 2nd floor to say hi to my collegues of the library was my favourite thing. The smooth sounds, people talking in a very soft way, the books smell, the atmosphere, I loved everything about it, it was so soothing (and the librarians were the sweetest) ♡

She has an older library video from 2014 I believe, and also 2 videos that are flipping through beautiful & intricately designed greeting cards and journals! These are my favorite videos of all time and I get so excited when she does anything remotely close to them! I’m sure if you just search gentle whispering library or cards + journals they will be easy to find :D

I have felt this way many times in a library but it has to very quiet, almost silent whispering, book plastic and spine crackling. Turning of pages and the smell of the aging books but it's an energy. You either have it or you dont. It's a gentleness that makes your spine and your head tingle. It's very therapeutic

100% this is the one. I actually discovered the asmr sensation while going to work with my mom in a clerical office. The typing and paper sorting was so relaxing. The library was even better because no radio on there! I've fallen asleep listening to books being sorted and shelved as a child. Amazing.

Wow! I thought I was the only person on earth who got tingles by the sounds in the library. The rustling of newspapers was always my favorite. Also, growing up Catholic, the sounds of old folks whispering Aves while their rosary beads clicked against backs of the pews.

Can you please make a soft spoken gift shop roleplay video where you show us cute cards for birthdays, anniversaries etc., journals and some souvenirs/small gifts you’d usually get in a gift shop? Oh definitely. One of my friends is a librarian at a well-known university and he said it's a lot more difficult than you'd think, you have to almost be a walking catalogue of what's kept where and on what shelf. Dude looks like he works harder than I do and I work in heavy transport.

And at school my friends and I would play with each other's hair and tickle each other's backs during story time. Beautiful memories ✨

OMG since i watch the 2014 version A LOT youtube recommend me that video everytime i click in an asmr video and i though it was THAT video but the start sounded different, i almost CHOKE MYSELF hahaha Maria you´re an angel thank u so so so muchh!! the week just started but it is already tough... and there´s even more things to face, but seeing one of my fav videos being updated just made my day! i´m truly happy thank u!! This is the 3rd ASMR video I've watched tonight as I only have just discovered this is a thing like 2 hours ago!! I went to Catholic schools and all those hours spent in the library - and I could never work out why I'd get sooooooo tired - the quiet with the whispering, the random typing on keyboards, the sound of paper softly being shuffled or pages turned, the soft of grey lead pencil scribbles and the different sounds of the various shoe soles and the occasional heel of the librarians or female teachers... And now 30 years later I have found out why! I thought that I had some problem because I'd look at other people who didn't appear to be feeling relaxed, soothed and sleepy from the sounds, so obviously they were pretending to not be or they were lacked the self awareness to notice their surroundings on an auditory or feeling level? Who knew that this was a thing? I'm completely fascinated now and will be researching the "why" of this phenomenon... I wonder if ASMR relaxation and soothing is an introvert thing? OMG, I keep nodding off while I type this! What type of drug is being blown through the air conditioning unit of this particular library? (Will quickly escalate into a "who dunnit" 🤩👀🤣👀) I can't fight it a moment longer - I'm so snoozy I'm about to fall asleep sitting up, fall forward as and facepalm the coffee table next to my bed - and consider the time I was "out of it a solid night's sleep" 🤣😳🤣 I'm in love with these 💜🖤💜🖤💜🖤💜🖤

As a youngster, the library is where I first experienced ASMR. I didn't know what it was; only that it was an amazing feeling. To me, that librarian was magical. This brings back great memories.

I might not be able to go back to work after watching this during break. This is one of my all-time, guaranteed tingle favorites! I love ASMR creators that actually type on their keyboards. The manic spastic jamming of buttons in no particular order that you see in some videos never does it for me.
