You're the only one who has posted all versions of Licht und shatten and no one even knows there are supposed to be these many versions.......I'm sure many are dying to listen to all the versions but they just don't seem to find this gem of a video.......this video needs more views❤️

Aww thank you. I'm just a huge soundtrack enthusiast and I love Licht and Shatten so much. I had all the versions downloaded in my TG ost folder so I thought, why not make this!

God this track in all versions is so melancholic. Such a tragic yet beautiful feeling it conveys. Something about this title is just... unexplainable.

man i just have to thank you for the way you interact with all the questions in the comments. it really shows your passion for the soundtrack! Licht und Schatten is a everlasting soundtrack and really makes you think and feel. Also tokyo ghoul is the first anime i watched and it immediately made me realize that OSTs play a huuuge role in anime. Since then i've been obsessed with anime soundtracks, so it's nice to see others share this aswell. Thank you again!

No, he wasn't in my opinion. He was obsessed with revenge and a dope head. He already killed enough innocent ghouls and his death wasn't a big surprise for me!

So I went back and watched the scene and searched through all the Tokyo Ghoul season 1 ost but I couldn't find sth. My guess is that it's just a short modification of Licht und Schatten just for that scene.

Tokyo Ghoul takes a lot if inspiration and illusions from the The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka a German story about a man suddenly transformed into huge centaped like creature. Do you remember kaneki always reading it? The psychological issues of the mc from that book mirror Kaneki's own mental state. His self loathing image and suicidal leanings.

Yup, one is called simply Tokyo Ghoul, not Licht und Schatten but it's another version of the same soundtrack. Enjoy!

Usually in anime they take an ost and edit or remix it a bit for certain scenes. Most likely that's the case with the one you're looking for.

Just watched TG for the 2nd time and i noticed that there was another version of this ost in the 1st season, it's just the 1st version of this ost but it's slowed i guess i couldn't find it anywhere, if you know where i can find it please tell me ❤
