You mentioned bluegrass phrasing. I was at JPGU and at his clinic he says “I know as Dream Theater fans we are all very metal” *devil horns* “but I’m going to say something that I shouldn’t say here.” He cranes his neck out over the crowd “learn bluegrass and country phrasing.”

The sequencing shap in A# minor where you start off the major 3rd… reminds me of EVH climbing part of Hot for Teacher solo as it takes off / sores (just after the opening pattern)…. 🤘

When you slide after you do a bend would the next note start on a pre bend? I was sure from your movements if you're sliding after you go back to the original pitch or sliding with the bend being held. I hear it but I'm not sure of the movement.

The A major arpeggio works over f# minor because they are relative, but I am confused on how A major works over f minor ??

I don't think it's possible to "try to look like Guthrie" by having facial features and natural hair texture/color etc. that looks like him. Growing up there were musicians who looked a lot like me and I liked them especially and learned their stuff. That helped me a lot to develop my own style. I still look like them...I can't help that part. This guy can't either. That's just how he looks. And he seems to be a great guitarist. Right on dude!
