Lid Flipping Bridgeport U-Can

Here’s the first video of the Bridgeport U can on route. I really enjoyed filming this unique truck and the lid flipping was an awesome touch. This truck seems great and I hope more companies buy the U can although it does seem smaller than its older brother, the Curotto Can. I also can’t wait to see the U Can with different body’s, I’m sure someone is gonna put it on a McNeilus or Heil. As for the truck I love they colors Walters chose, the lime green and dark green with a bit of orange looks so good imo. On top of that the nature themed wraps look amazing. Walters let’s the driver choose any nature related photo for their truck. These specific ones are from TPC and Lockness Lake in Blaine & one from the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in northern MN.

I would hope this has an auto dump feature I feel like me personally I’d forget to stow the arm before I dumped it and based on the bent lip on the hopper other drivers forgot to too. Cool concept too. I like how Bridgeport incorporates the tanks into the canopy.

So this was way better than I expected honestly. Operating this at waste expo last year, we all thought this was going to be a disaster, but I am actually pretty stoked with how this came out. It’s been a good couple of years for new designs for Bridgeport I’ll be honest.

Awesome! Loved seeing this U-can on route, I don't believe I've seen one before! I like how it dumps so far back, and lifts the can so high. It was also fun watching it collect Walter's (various sizes) Schaefers, Rehrigs, Cascades, and Ottos. And, as a final touch, the fast speed!

That truck sounds like the Bridgeport ranger XC Extra Capacity Recycler on Peterbilt 320. It is Monterey Disposals truck with Fisherman's Wharf on the sides. Amazing recycling truck I see when I visit Monterey. I love the U Can, very rapid and advanced for technology.

Awesome find James! This truck is awesome, super entertaining to watch. I definitely think this is much more entertaining to see than a Curotto can in action. One of the cool things I like is the arm assembly on the outside, can see it a up close which is neat. I also get asl vibes from this arm. Kinda like a python or commander specifically. Great find and I hope to see more!

Not a fan of the arm. Appears to protrude quite a large degree beyond the can itself and maybe even the arms of the truck itself. Dumping motion and other things, though, I quite like. Bridgeport needs to market this as a legitimate competitor to the Curotto Can

Very neat find. I would be curious to hear the driver opinion on it. When I drove it, I found in to be fun, but unnecessarily complicated and inefficient.

Awesome video James! Was wondering if anyone had actually bought these lol. Imo I really think U Can could be a competitor against the Curotto Can if it was spiffed up a bit, like being able to detach it easily if need be. Really like the arm, just think it's a tad high in the air when dumping. Hope Walters decides to buy more and definitely wouldn't mind seeing this again. Awesome work!

Nice video! Great to finally see a video of one of these. How long have they had this for? The U Can appears to have the same cycle speed as your typical curotto can. Not quite sure how I feel about the whole arm function, while aesthetically pleasing to watch I would deem the dump function for the grabbers somewhat unnecessary - though it was likely one of the only ways they could design this without totally copying the curotto can. Appreciated the lid flips toward the end of the video, seemed like the driver had warmed up and was picking up the pace a bit. Great footage once again

You film all the copycat stuff, don't you? haha in all seriousness you did a good job capturing this new machine in action. I love the way it lifts the cans up really high and plops them down with a satisfying thud sound, usually leaving the lid open. I doubt they'll sell very many of these, considering that you have to bolt on the can unlike a Curotto that just attaches to the forks.

Cool to see one of these in action. Not sure why anyone would ever buy one except due to cost, I bet this is cheaper than curotto. Just so inefficient and poorly designed. Nice job filming though!
