are using processing for get the final image?can you give us more details about your proyect and have a question how can get the implementation for sonar sensor in arduino thanks and congratulations

Can you export the final result with a cloud of points?

Can we get same output with tf mini instead of lidar lite v3?

I really like this. I'm curious whether you've tried any other color schemes for displaying the points. Also, have you converted the data to a mesh?
@andrefedalto8 жыл бұрын
Hey Adam, I'm glad you liked. Unfortunately I didn't try different colours and also didn't build a mesh :/

Nice project!!! What about accuracy in point measurement? would stepper motors and an IMU improve this accuracy? Thanks for sharing your great work!!!
@andrefedalto8 жыл бұрын
Point measurement is really accurate for this application (+/- 0.025m - see www.sparkfun.com/products/retired/13167). Stepper motors and IMU can improve the point positioning in the 3D model, but for mapping a room wouldn't make a whole lot difference.

Is not working in visual studio because of this error C1083: . 'lib/tinydir.h': No such file or directory how to solve it??

which software are you using??

Cannot get this to work. The lidar just points straight up an twitches. Also, I noticed you board hookup image is different than your schematic, namely the board does not include the capacitor, nor is the capacitor size listed anywhere that I could see.

Hi. I went to all the websites in the description and read your blog. I really want to creat one just like yours. I see the schematics on the blog but I was wondering where can I find the code for the arduino and the c++?
@andrefedalto8 жыл бұрын
+Michael Cernkovic check the second link in the description (github), that's where you'll find the code. Hope it helps.

how long does it usually takes to scan the room and generate 3D map?
@ArtFloriani7 жыл бұрын
Around 15 minutes. We could reduce it to around 1-2minutes with Lidar-Lite V2 and some tweaks on the code ;)
@KhmerH207 жыл бұрын
1-2 minutes sounds superb. I might implement this into a component of my design class. Is it ok with you? I also want to use motor instead for rotation motion.
@ArtFloriani7 жыл бұрын
For us is completely fine. You can also check our code on github, just have in mind that this was a test project and not a finished product. Do a bit of research on which motors you will use and also try to go for the Lidar-Lite V2. Take a look at other projects like this: www.kickstarter.com/projects/scanse/sweep-scanning-lidar

thats great but why dont you have more points
@andrefedalto8 жыл бұрын
+saadamiens This was done using a LidarLITE (cheap) mounted on servos. The lidar acquisition time is around 0.02 seconds per measure, making up 50 readings per second. Adding more points would make the overall scanning time much longer. But of course it could be done :)
@saadamiens8 жыл бұрын
Does this means that for each .02sec you have one point scanned ? what software did you use to plot the 3d matrix of points ?
