Descripción automática: In this video the operation and types of LiDAR systems are introduced. There are different types of LiDAR depending on the distance from the sensor to the target, including spaceborne, airborne, UAV-based systems, and terrestrial scanning.
The system components and how they work together to provide exact coordinates of objects are explained. The two main types of LiDAR, discrete and full-waveform, are discussed, along with their differences in collecting data and processing complexity.
Bathymetric LiDAR systems, which use pulses of different wavelengths to calculate water depth, are also covered. Overall, LiDAR systems can collect point cloud data at varying densities and footprints, making them adaptable to diverse applications and scales.
