Love the nome, don't worry it goes to food bins at charity's. All our extra almost date at the stores gets moved to food banks where low income can get meals, or they fill corner bins that anyone can fill or take. Called blessing boxes- they look like Fred book exchanges like the queen consort Camilla supports.

Eggplant/aubergine, slice in discs, 1/2" thick, coat in flour and seasoning, pan fry in oil. Crispy with soft center, best eaten immediately. 😊 Too much zucchini? And fruit in freezer? Add juice & sugar, it becomes jam. 😊

Hi Hannah. Aubergines can get very bitter when they're old. Don't let that put you off because fresh, firm aubergines aren't bitter at all. You can cook them with onions, tomatoes and garlic and put cheese on top.

I would love to see how you use the items from those boxes. I’m hoping to find something similar here in Canada to stretch my weekly food budget.

My winter whites hamsters love their fruit aka blueberries and free blackberries - I pick 3 on the way home. They also love chicken, meal worms, peanuts in shells, dog dental chews, bird seed mix, cream - they lick it off my fingers etc. I tend to give them human food as it’s cheaper and they enjoy it in small amounts. It might be worth you looking up your rights up in terms of the law. They may do something. Shelter may help as well. I hope the kids have a good day when they return to school etc.

Zucchini bread 🤤 it's not hard to make it's a go too this time of the year because everyone has zucchini coming out of their ears lol you can't taste it in it really and it's more of a sweet treat than bread like banana bread. Mom always made muffins out of them in huge batches and they freeze super well great make ahead freeze breakfast for the kids. Just set them out into the refrigerator overnight to defrost and bamb breakfast is served. Plus it's loaded with veggies and a great source of vitamins that we all need.
