Liebherr - LIKUFIX fully automatic quick coupling system

LIKUFIX is the name of the Liebherr fully automatic quick coupling system. The combination of a hydraulic Liebherr quick coupling system with the LIKUFIX coupling block permits fast safe changing of mechanical and hydraulic working tools from the operator’s cabin. The deployment options of a hydraulic excavator and machine productivity can thus be increased by up to 30%. A worthwhile investment for over 25 years.

Another great Liebherr video incorporating incredible animation to more fully illustrate the operation of the LIKUFIX coupling system. Sometimes I can't tell if the video is full animation; stop-action animation; or the actual coupler being photographed in action. Now I know this website is to promote and demonstrate Liebherr products, but I think your 'public' would like to know which animation studio you are using to make these amazing visual productions; a little, actually a lot, of credit where credit is due.

Hello SR1456: I've never heard of that animation program (Inventor) but I'll Google it right now. I'm amazed that something 'off the shelf' could be used to do animations like this but it certainly was the 'touch' needed to make this video work on all levels (above and below ground). Thanks.

Hello again SR1456: Just took a look at an Autodesk Inventor Studio animation tutorial on KZfaq and I believe you are 100% correct in that this is a product of that software program. Just watching the tutorial for Inventor Studio made my head explode; can't imagine having to work with it but then again I couldn't draw a straight line even with a multi-thousand dollar software program at my finger tips.

this system has the issue of wear causing play because the pins are not under pressure, a pin grab or wedge system is better because it prevents wear. That's why the hydraulic system has movement, other systems don't need that. Oilquick or Ec-oil is better.

how can it be leak free, when there is no way to clean the surface? everything on an excavator is dirty, especially around the budget area.

Clean it before hooking up So your still getting out But it'll leak for sure More worried about when you get a bit of wear in the pins
