Both really great movies. It's hard to imagine Ace as a Ducky Boy. At least, the way they were portrayed in the movie. I actually found a website years ago all about The Wanderers. It was pretty cool. They had recent pics of the cast, stories, pictures of places... I remember one pic where they said this was Ducky Boys territory, in the past. I had no idea the gangs in the movie were losely based on actual real-life gangs. There was an interview with the guy that had the switchblade and wouldn't give the football back. A lot of interesting stuff. He said it was funny that people wpuld recognize him and be afraid of him.

Ace has never been interested in taking responsibility. "I was out voted", means, he actively voted against Peter. There is an old interview, where Peter is very aggressive and calls Ace a traitor. Paul wrote, Ace was glad when Peter left. This must be true, because Peter was very angry at Ace that he didn't help him with his solo band. Ace also actively voted against Bill Aucoin.

@@Nilaiveja My point was: I never heard Ace admitting that he was against Peter and actively voted against him. In his interview (1988?) Peter was angry, he didn't say "Paul and Gene", no, he was blaming Ace and called him a "traitor". Still 8 years later Peter was angry that Ace his 🥃mate let him down. Ace, for example, even when he talks about his difficulties, he blames others! He couldn't play a solo. Why? Because Paul and Gene made him nervous. As long as someone is looking for a scapegoat, he doesn't take responsibility. Once he said directly into the camera (to Paul and Gene): "I was my own worst enemy". He learned that in therapy. But he didn't sound honest. Obviously it was a trick, to get an invitation for the next KISS tour. But it didn't work. My intention is not to disrespect Ace, who is still fascinating. But his character is HIS. And his responsibility.

No....The truth is and even Ace stated the 1 thing he loves about Gene is he will tell you the truth to your face regardless if it's something you want to hear or not....People don't like it when you are that honest with them.
