You’re right Liesl!!! This is such a treat! I love that you not only have a landscape, but also included florals. 😊 This is sooooo amazingly stunning! It does look a little challenging, but with your encouragement and explanations of how you’re painting it and the color mixes used will be so helpful. Breaking the tutorial down into small portions makes it seem more doable. I love the window view of the ocean! The curtains have great movement as well! And to top it off we’ve got a lovely windowsill with a beautiful vase of flowers! You are extremely talented Liesl and I’m so grateful that you share all your skills and talent with us! What a composition!!! 😊💕🤗

A beautiful painting, Liesl, as ever, with lovely subtle colours. I can see this would be quite difficult and time consuming but certainly fun to try. The curtains would seem to be the most tricky if you wanted to avoid the "painting by numbers" look and get the natural blended folded look. I think I'd try painting those as a practice piece first on scrap paper of the same brand. I particularly love the vase of flowers. I may have to top up my diox purple at this rate. 🙂 Thanks again, Liesl and have a great weekend. 🥰

Practicing the curtains on a scrap piece of paper to get the hang of it sounds like a great idea! I’m sure you’ll do a great job with it though. 😉 And yes, this is definitely a Dioxazine featured piece isn’t it….I guess I’ve been in the mood to paint purple lately! @@lieslsartisticstudio I've been writing some birthday cards today which I painted based on your tutorials and I used diox purple for the "ink". I tend to use watercolour paint for my calligraphy as I can match it to the cards. 🥰

When you paint the lower half of the window the ocean. Are you painting wet on wet?

I’m sorry it’s causing trouble! I’m not sure if I know what’s wrong with the app, but some people have found they have better luck purchasing, downloading, and printing this on a computer rather than a phone or tablet. I’m curious. Your painting looks like many I’ve seen generated by the AI on Canva and elsewhere. Can I be curious and ask whether your painting was based on an AI generated image?

I’m glad you ask. I did see an image similar to this as an oil painting on Pinterest a while back, (I’m not 100% sure, but there is a good chance it was AI generated) and loved the idea, so I created my own version of what I saw to paint using watercolors.
