Your videos are super helpful as someone who is looking to distance study with OU 🙏 it’s quite overwhelming trying to decided which modules to take and it’s very helpful to hear you break it down. Good luck 🤞

Thank you for the feedback. It certainly can be daunting deciding which modules to study, especially if you have a number of interests. Hope you find a course that suits you and sign up 😊

@@DanUniAndBooksI’ve been with Open Uni 6 months now and I’m really enjoying it. It seems contradictory to me but I feel like I’m learning a lot more than when I was studying at a previous university in person! I’ve done A111 which really helped me narrow down my favourite subjects. Thanks again for sharing your experience because it helped a lot in my decision making 👍

@@sianimay420 I think the OU has a great way of working that concentrates on getting the most out of their students via distance learning which makes them stand out. I think the students motivation to do well also helps as you need to put in a lot more effort to get something out of distance learning 😊

@@sianimay420 thank you. I’ve had a year off and will be starting A112 in October. I’m excited to get back into study and look forward to studying literature more in depth next year too 😊

Thank you for your honesty. Its refreshing to have an honest view instead of someone saying they are loving the course completely. It's nice to know that other people hit a bump in the road. I tried to start psychology twice and due to personal reasons had to stop. I'm looking at coming back but doing a different degree. But I've just had a baby so it won't be until next October. I'm wondering if an open degree would suit you best. That way you have a variety of subjects to choose from and you're not pinned down to one subject and you get the chance to explore topic that's you enjoy.

I’m sure you’ll get there next year and hopefully find a degree path you’re both interested in and enjoy. I thought about an Open Degree but I’m currently on the broad based Arts and Humanities pathway anyway and I’m pretty sure that whatever I want to do, it’s going to be arts/humanities based. I’ve toyed with the idea of science but don’t really enjoy it and I’ve done law so gonna stick with broad arts and humanities for now and see how I get on 😊
