Honestly like you said, watching people's vids and experiences alone seems to help me so much, I feel so much less alone, and this helps me remain positive day to day. I have my appointment in May for a diagnostics, and Im hoping just knowing my condition for certain, will allow my support circle to be able to support and deal with me better, even if medication doesn't necessarily blow my socks away! Thank you for the last video on ADHD too. After anxiety for 6 months on whether I should go and get diagnosed, it gave me the courage to just go and do it, and I booked it on the day. Cannot thank the channel enough :)

Thank you so much! It’s lovely to know I’ve been able to help someone who is in a similar position to me a few months ago. I wish you all the best for your assessment! I also started reading a book called better late than never, and that really helped calm my worries about being an imposter. Best, Siân 🤍

Thanks for these videos. I'm just over two weeks into my initial titration (first meds since late diagnosis via PUK), and hearing someone else voice some of the things I've been thinking really helps. For anyone else reading and interested: I'm a worrier and I've found this experience a real up and down. If my brain decides to worry, I think the meds keep me focused on it. If I'm concentrating on work, I get loads done. If work is stressful, I feel pretty awful. I've noticed gradual improvement in this over time, but from what others have said maybe I need to give it a bit longer before to see if they completely go away. I'm just concerned I'll end up depressed! I'll be posting all of this on the portal too and see what the professional say. Fingers crossed it'll be reet.

You're welcome! Thanks for leaving a comment. It's great that you feel comfortable sharing your experience in the comments. It means a lot to me to hear other people's experiences too. I completely understand the fear of becoming depressed and I think that's so unique to people who have felt low before, you never want to end up back there. But being aware of it was so important for me and made all the difference because I kept a diary, I spoke about my feelings a lot and I made a conscious effort to keep myself out of those dark spaces. I hope you're feeling better about your experience on meds so far! I'm sure it'll be reet! You've got a whole community behind you!

Hey, yeah I’m not sure why I went on these first but think the Psych mentioned long acting would work best for me (think because of the hyperactive energy) but honestly they weren’t near as bad as I’d imagined they might have affected me. Although I keep forgetting to mention they have really affected my appetite so try to prepare for that if you can! I’m always fatigued tbh 😂 it may just be our baseline so we need to look for things that give up us some get up and go… a lot of people say exercise is great but I just can’t bring myself to do it. Let me know if you find any good methods of getting yourself moving. Good luck with your journey x

I'm getting these in the next two days I'm excited but worried about taking them. What's your focus like on them. I can relate to you way if thinking about stuff about my self

Hey, I'd say I really noticed a difference at first, and as I increased dosed I definitely noticed I zoned in about an hour after taking them. I'd say the main difference is being able to concentrate for a period of hours instead of minutes. But you may not have the same experience, if after a month your side effects haven't settled down and you haven't noticed any improvement, definitely try something else!

Hi I hope your medication is helping now. Do you mind sharing how much does it cost to pay for Xaggitin privately please?
@SianKatie
@SianKatie 2 жыл бұрын
Hey, thank you! It's definitely doing something, aha. I'm afraid I don't pay for mine, they come under the shared care agreement with my GP so I've fortunately not had to pay. I think people say they pay up to £80 per prescription/delivery though. I've actually just made a new video talking about how I went through Right To Choose but booked the assessment private so it worked out that I only had to pay for the initial assessment. I'd highly recommend taking that route if you've not booked anything yet!

@Sian Katie Hopefully your appetite will settle down soon. I am seeing the psychiatrist on the 26th hoping to start medication. Fortunately, I got seen through the NHS after a long wait. Have had x2 2 hour assessments and they diagnosed ADHD but only the doc can start me on medication. I daydream all the time and I am constantly distracted. Fingers crossed this new dose works for you and gets you to where you want Sian. Take care and stay safe 🤘🤘
