I didn’t realize it until they finished reciting the lyrics together, but I had actually shed a tear during their recitation of “N**** Bleed”.. What a beautiful moment. Life After Death is all around one of the greatest albums of all time. Felt like a movie from start to finish, songs like Niggas Bleed, Somebody Gotta Die, I Got A Story To Tell, all paint a picture in your head. Plus you can’t tell me Sky’s The Limit with 112 isn’t one of the greatest songs ever made. I still get chills listening to it. My favorite big song will always be victory…. Smh the fact that he recorded that the day before he pass makes it hit different. That song was lyrical perfection, and gave us just a glimpse of where he was headed with his flow 😢 Also in one “somebody’s go to die” a line that stood out was “we exchange hugs and pounds before the throw down” as a kid hearing that, i never got it, even as i became an adult i didn’t get it. Me in my 30’s now i finally understood what he meant. They exchanged hug and pounds because that might be there last time they see each other when they go on that mission…. Yea everybody got that person that says they would “ride and die with you” but if that person knew they would die on that mission, would they still go with you? It’s almost like a suicid3 b0mber going into a mission knowing they won’t make it back out. When a person reaches that mindset, i feel like they become fearless/ free

The bar was high back then. As nice as BIG was at his age, most of the guys around during his era were in a similar age bracket. That whole generation of MCs of his caliber were just competing at their level. It seems like rocket science now because the bar has been lowered so much. BIG was a genius amongst other geniuses and he happened to be competitive, ambitious, obviously intelligent and incredibly talented. Quite possibly the most complete MC of his time, maybe 2Pac and Nas being his closest rivals.

Styles P is on point with what he said about Biggie. Somebody needs to make some movies out of these songs. Irv Gotti has already started doing it with Tales. 💥👏🏾🗽

BIG will always be The Illest. He's my #1, and the crazy thing is when I bought the "Who's the man" cassette soundtrack, I didn't like Big's song "Party and bullsh!t" after hearing him on Mary J and Supercat songs and then "Juicy" and "One more chance" I was a fan for life.

I stg I love that verse on Niggas bleed that song is like a Tarantino movie he stop in the middle of heist story to tell this character back story. I love these parts of MEO where Math starting rapping these classic verses to see who keeps up. Life After Death the only perfect double album in hip hop history and just a hair above Get Rich or Die Trying as greatest rap album to me
