Today she is almost ready to go back to work and drive, shes a walking miracle, it only happenend 6 months ago so she still has another 12 months of recovery. i am so greatful to all the staff at Salford Royal Hospital in the UK. Thank you for your story. I had a mild subarachnoid hemorrhage on 8/22/22. From what I'm told God and his angels are watching over me. It's 9/16/22 I have headaches and dizziness still but very little balance or coordination issues. The anxiety of this reoccurring kinda has me. But I'm here. Thank you so much for sharing your story. My stepmom had a subarachnoid hemorrhage due to a ruptured aneurysm on November 8 and was in a coma for 5 weeks. I searched high and low and like you, could not find stories of survivors. It has now been over 3 months and while she has a long way to go, we are very encouraged by her progress. She has to learn to do everything all over again, and gain her strength to sit up and walk. She has been able to sing a little bit, and while she has some memory issues she is as sharp as ever and her goal is to sing again (and play piano) in church. I was so happy to see your story and it has brought us hope as well, I've shared it with friends and family. Thank you for posting!

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thank you for sharing your story. I’m glad you are doing well now. I just had a SAH last month and also had an unruptured aneurysm treated. I was in ICU, hospital, then rehab for a total of 4 weeks. I’m very fortunate that I don’t seem to have any neurological deficits. My symptoms also started with severe neck pain but virtually no headache at all. I hope that viewers will keep that in mind since everything I’ve read about aneurysms talks about severe headache. Don’t second guess yourself - just call 911.

I had a Subarachnoid Brain Bleed in July 2012 and survived. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks and can not remember much either. I am lucky to be alive and thank God everyday. I really appreciate your video , I know you understand what it is like. To me it was difficult to explain. I remember things were reverse for me. What I thought was on my left , ( like doors and chairs...etc) was actually on my right . It was like looking in a mirror , I guess! Thank you so much for your testimony =)

Hi Dee I came across your testimony while researching brain aneurysms and follow up. I had a ruptured brain aneurysm nearly one year ago, around Mother's Day of 2018. I ended up having a coiling procedure, and then a surgery to have a VP shunt put in. I was in the hospital and then a rehabilitation facility until the end of July. Thanks to the grace of God, I, too am still alive and well. Other than tiring easily and having to make more effort when trying to talk as fast as I used to, I feel very good! I truly appreciate you making this video testimony. I do believe it has inspired and helped many; I know stories like yours inspires me. I think perhaps I may try to do something similar, or at least write a testimony to submit to a foundation such as the Brain Aneurysm Foundation. You are so right - we just need to be thankful and patient with ourselves each and every day! Thank you and may God continue to bless you!

I'm 10 weeks post SAH, no aneurism, but a vein bleed. Mine came on as I got to work, a pain in my neck that radiated over my head and was excruciatingly painful. I instantly 'knew' it was bad but I was in denial and it took me three days to go to A&E (in the UK). I have been lucky in that I did not need surgery and was discharged after 6 days. I am now back at work but finding it difficult to concentrate on anything other than one task at a time and I'm making lots of mistakes. I only work 4 hours but I'm exhausted when I get home. I'm not sure I can remain in my job and my managers are useless and uncaring. Thank you for sharing your story.

I had an intraparenquimal hemorrhage last July. We are very bless to be here! Doctors don't know the caused yet and may never know. I was at the gym and suddenly I started to have the worst headache of my life. Few minutes later I started to forget "words". I understood everything people said, but I couln't express myself. I didnt even remember my Grandmather's name. Only remembered my name and my parents names. It was weird and confusing. I could't see well and weeks later, by the time I could see enough to actually read things, it turned out I could't remember how to read. I still have issues remembering words but I'm better everyday. I think being bilingual helps. I feel tired and confused quickly. I use to have panic attacks and anxiety but reading about this disease makes me learn more about my boddy and what things I can do to eat better and make my blood stranger. The brain heals! We are superheroes and we just have to keep motivated and be patience! We will be great!

Luisa, thank you for sharing I totally understand what you were and are feeling. Still after almost 2 years since my brain bleed, I get anxiety and confusion too but I just stop and pray that God will help me get past it. He reminds me to remember that silent place I experienced when I realized I was dying. That silent place was peaceful even though I was in some pain. It seemed the sky was clearer and everything around me was just temporary and just not that important anymore. The experience has helped me to place my trust in our Maker. Here is a Great Bible scripture ...So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 Thanks Luisa!

When I feel like that, I just pray...I really feel like we were spared because we have something else we are supposed to do..I think it's to increase our faith in God and to be a blessing to others...Just know that you are okay and God has you in the very palm of His hand and won't let you fall. How will we be able to help her if she is so weak. She can’t walk or eat on her own. How is your mom now? Is she home?

Joe, I am very sorry your wife passed away...I know she really is with the Lord, don't worry she is always near you. I truly believe that. I want to share this wonderful verse with you 1 Corinthians 13:12 In the same way, we can see and understand only a little about God now, as if we were peering at his reflection in a poor mirror; but someday we are going to see him in his completeness, face-to-face. Now all that I know is hazy and blurred, but then I will see everything clearly, just as clearly as God sees into my heart right now. There are three things that remain-faith, hope, and love-and the greatest of these is love. I am praying for you and your daughter to feel joy and peace soon. We are human and that grief is real and often just takes time to see the sun shine again I know that kind of grief...But I am certain that God will bring through this part too he did it for me and He will do it for you too... Don't give up!

Thanks for uploading this, i'm glad you are still here :) . Subarachnoid Hemorrhage is something i've been fearful of for most of my life, not knowing whether it will affect me or not. When i was 11 years old, my mother suffered a Hemorrhage whilst having a shower one morning, i remember hearing the bang, as she fell out of the shower and hit the radiator on the wall, i think for her it was very quick. The doctor said that she was brain dead before she hit the floor. Her father and her sister both died the same way, so obviously i've always been scared that it was hereditary and that i would suddenly die one day. Sometimes when i get headaches i do think to myself, this is it. So far so good.

Hi all, mine is a miracle from CHRIST- WHO WAS made my personal saviour about 30 years ago . On 01/06/19, I had a sudden massive right side headache which starting running down my arm and then I found myself unable to speak or speak and my neck went completely stiff. I wondered if I was going to be paralysed because my sisters, mum and I nursed my dad through a paralytic stroke. I cried out to CHRIST to save me from paralysis and in a few minutes, I became normal . Only later at the hospital, an unruptured aneurysm was found! CHRIST saved me mid- stroke. Till date, I am well. Thanks to my saviour and healer -JESUS CHRIST🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Thank you for this. I had mine Dec 5, 2018, (day before my 58th bday) so am still in the process of healing. It is amazing that you remember everything like you do. I dont remember anything. My last memory is leaving work. I was talking to my brother on the phone, and he said I just started screaming that "my head hurt, my head hurt", then he said my words started slurring and he knew I was probably having a stroke. Luckily, a nurse was behind me, so when I jumped out of my truck to my knees, she was there. I woke up after my surgery very confused not knowing what was happening. I am unable to drive at this time due to confusion and the affect of my eyes. I get very very tired very easily, and confused and I am battling depression due to losing my mother a week after coming home from hospital from liver cancer. Your video gives me hope, but I do worry about getting better, and getting my life back. It seems slow in coming. TFS, and God be with you and lay his healing upon you. (I pray the same prayer for myself).

I am SO happy you are still here! Thank you for sharing your heart with me...I can't even imagine how the pain of being sick and feelings of loss is affecting you. What I do know, is that God is real and knows what is going to happen before we do and although I don't know or understand why we go through these painful things. I do know and have Faith that our God will bring us through if we don't give up! Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. My dad is 85 and had cerebral hemmorage. Has were told he had a slow brain bleed was too old for surgery but they were able to stop the bleed .they said 4 to 6 weeks to let the body absorb the blood in his brain and until then he will have speech problems and confusion. Does anyone have experience with this bc he refuses to go to rehab will only accept home occupational and speech therapy refuses to go to the doctor .the symptoms he is having now I'm not sure if it is the blood on his brain or if this gave him vascular dementia like often happens to stroke patients. Can anyone tell me what they went thru with brain bleed such as incontinence , sundowning, etc?

Lindsey Shaffer I didn’t write it to make people like you and me feel better. I wrote it so people who don’t understand brain injuries and dementia can become aware of its scope. I finished this song in the hospital and funded it with the last of my savings. It means the world to me to share what I went through with the world and I wrote it for people like us. But if you can’t or don’t appreciate it, I’m sorry for ever bringing your attention to it. Blessings.

@@lindseyshaffer9233 I don't know whether you went for MRI with contrast or not. I personally know someone who went for the wrong test (MRI without contrast) because of which aneurysm went undetected. *An MRA (Magnetic resonance angiography)/MRI with angiogram is specifically to check the nerves so it should be able to detect it.* You just need to tell your radiologist/technician that you are suspecting a cerebral aneurysm. I just pray you don't have it.

The doctors really didn't know, until almost a year later when I had to undergo more MRI scans. What they saw is a weakening of an artery wall in my brain. (I don't have the correct verbiage) but essentially they think that the artery wall burst which may have been caused by a spike in my blood pressure. I never had an issue with blood pressure prior to that event. Now, they want me to take blood pressure medicine everyday. I started out on several blood pressure medications then slowly stopped taking so many. The medication they put me on made me feel awful! Also, some of that medication made me gain weight. I told the doctors I didn't want to have another problem with gaining weight... that is not good for your heart and a host of other problems could develop. Fortunately, they were able to put me on hydrochlorothiazide and now I am on a very low dose. Also, I am suppose to be taking a low dose of aspirin daily to keep my arteries from getting clogged...
