Coming from a person that has been in a relationship for the past 7 years... I sometimes forget the intention to spend time alone and caring for myself. I truly respect a woman like Mai who always reminds us ladies to take care of ourselves first. Yes we can find someone we match well with and want to spend our live with, but time with yourself and loving yourself is so much more important. I'm going through so much heartbreak from a series of failed relationships and honestly have never felt more single in my life. I've pushed away every potential person, even though I feel so lonely because I have nothing left within me to give. Seeing you live and be content with your singleness gives me so much hope. My 2-year-long relationship ended a month ago, so valentines day was rough. I had a good morning, took myself out on a picnic beach date to read and journal. But once i got home that evening i was non-stop crying. Watched your video and it helped me calm down :) Im only 18 so i know its not the end of the world, but first love is pretty rough to handle once it ends. This is the first Valentine's Day I have spent alone, and it was honestly the best day. I did all the self care things, sat around in comfy clothes, watched Euphoria, took a little nap and went to bed early! It honestly made me want to do that every night 🥰
