I am new to your vlog. I am an overseas Chinese who lives in Malaysia and I have been to China many times. I love your vlog and I am particularly impressed by your fluent Chinese.

I have always liked Katherine; she is smart + serious. Compared to many of her fellow KZfaqrs, she is mature + modest. Elated to hear she is an Environmental Engineer; many people complain about our environmental crisis, but not many will dedicate their life to rectify it. Also, she has a Chinese Soul.

Even sitting down in one place answering questions you still made it an interesting video to watch. Maybe it’s the mix of your honesty and wittiness but definitely the fun editing too! :D

I’d like to share my understanding of Chinese characters with people who are interested in Chinese. Chinese characters still retain their pictographic origins. Knowing what the characters look like originally can help understand the meanings and remember them. I’ve spent about 100,000 hours studying English humor and Western culture, and many years studying Chinese culture and jokes. My native language is Chinese.

This is so well done, not just a 100K SUBSCRIBER SPECIAL but also (to me anyway) a tacit tribute to the time you shared with Wei. Wei's a good person, and despite your split, I think he still thinks you're the best thing that's ever happened to him.

I'm sorry to hear it didn't work out with Wei but happier that you took the step that so many in unhappy relationships dread taking. A year ago, I broke up with my long term partner and it was one of the hardest decisions of my life. We had spent much of our 3 years long distance, travelling the country, moving in together far from either of our homes and starting new in a new place. After it ended, I was left to pick up the pieces of my life and, in a way, pick up where I left off before I began my journey with her. You will always remember the memories you spent with that person but as time goes on, and more memories are created, you'll learn to be grateful for that chapter in your life and the personal growth that you underwent. When you feel down and that pit in your stomach returns, remind yourself why you made that hard decision, forgive yourself, and look forward to all that's to come.
