Young subadult male lions (the teenagers) are run off by their fathers or in a pride takeover by new males. If keeps them from breeding with their female relatives. They become nomadic males until the age of around four or five until they are big enough and strong enough to take over a pride.

Unlike Scar and Mufasa these lion brothers will get along well with each other pretty well .

Thank you for your comment. I would love to turn off the music and only have animal sounds in the video. Unfortunately there are many loud visitors in the zoo, so their sound is much louder than the animal sounds 😔 Technically I don't know how to remove the human sounds. I will try to make more videos with animal sounds

Linda Smit Wildlife Impressions - Thank you for the explanation and please forgive my ignorance. I had no idea and what state makes total sense. It used to be when folks saw someone shooting video they would make sure to stay out of the frame and be quiet out of courtesy. That obviously is no longer the case with everyone walking around with cameras in their pockets taking pictures and videos of absolutely everything. Thanks for bringing these beautifully creatures to us and keep up the good work!

Very interesting perspective Chizumi, it has made me realize that perhaps life in a zoo has its advantages, these beautiful animals are much more relaxed, and if you think about it, this is how God designed it in the first place. No death, no fear.

But with humans it's different. There's plenty of rich humans out there living their best life while also being merciless and cruel. Celebrities are clear example. They're richer than all of us and yet all of them are pieces of inhumane sh*t.

Not really. As calm as this environment is, they still had to separate by age 2 because there would inevitably be conflict. What people don’t seem to get is males driven away does 2 things: A) Prevents inbreeding and B) Allows the species to thrive by males beginning families elsewhere. Come now, humans also instinctively drive adult males from home as well. They/we aren’t supposed to stay indefinitely engaging in hunky-dory relationships with ‘dad’ for an extended period of time. I personally hadn’t lived at home since 6 days after my high school graduation(June 1988) and it was as natural as natural can be.

I mean you're right, but a poacher would've 100% interfered with how they behave in the wild if they weren't here.

@iFeel zzzZz well actually lions used to roam all the way up to europe, so it is likely that their gene came from there, because winter = better peformance for white camo.

Preferrable NOT to expose them to the wild beast's behaviors.
