Poland is a country that always helps others but never gets the praise they deserve. We saw this during the battle of England where polish pilots fought for England. And we will probably see it again where this will be quickly forgotten. Thank you Poland for everything🇵🇱🇺🇦

And guess what? The only army that was not invited to defilade orgenized right after WW2 war by England was Poland despite their brave pilots and that 3 Polish scientists lied ground for solving the coding German mashine. ..... Mind boggling. INSTEAD Cherchill with Americans sold Poland to STALIN influence and then Stalin slaughtered our uppper classes in thousands. ...... If the English people started learning their dark history they would have to wear bags on their heads.

It is not that unusual considering that for nearly 500 years, until 1939, Ukraine was historically linked with Poland. Both of my parents and my grandparents were born in western Ukraine as Polish citizens. In the past, significant areas of Ukraine were part of the territory of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and the Cossacks actively participated in the defense of the eastern borders of the Republic and were loyal subjects of Polish kings. In its heyday, the Republic reached as far as the Crimea and many Cossacks were honored with the Polish nobility for merits, they treated Poland as a mother and the king as a father. Throughout all these centuries, Poles and Ukrainians married and had children with common genes, which they passed on to future generations. Hence the sense of brotherhood, and regardless of several tragic episodes in the past (made to each other) in our mutual relations, we Poles have a fondness for Ukrainians and they treat Poland as their older sister.

It is incredible to see how much and in how many different ways Poles are willing to help Ukrainian refuges. Giving a refugee child a chance to go to school where they can learn and meet other children, provides feeling of semi-normal life. And it is so important that those children won't stay scarred and lose precious time of not going to school caused by the horrible Russian invasion of Ukraine. God Bless kind-hearted and generous people of Poland and the City of Lublin.

😕☝ I would of thought that these refugees would need to remain close to their homeland ready for their safe return once this crisis ends. Somewhere that shares their language. I mean, with there already been a lack of accommodation is it wise to bring in refugees? We already have people using food banks & many sofa surfing. The streets in the Uk are littered with our homeless. Our employment opportunities has been reduced & our national debt is growing exponentially. So it can't be their needs over our own! Also, what if there's a clash of cultures, customs & values.

@@user-uq2ht7ff5n Yes, that's all true. Nevertheless, this not justifies the attack on Ukraine. It just shows the hypocrisy of the west and that the west has blood on its hands too! Unfortunately, the Russians only do what is useful for those in power in the USA! Why? To answer this question one only have to know who has very, very, very much influence in the USA and uses this influence to influence American foreign policy. Other states have an armaments industry but in the US, the armaments industry has the state and this US military-industrial complex (short MIC )as a kind of co-government is so powerful that it also has a significant impact on foreign policy. The US military-industrial complex is namely a kind of co-government in the US. The term military-industrial complex is used in socio-critical analyzes to describe the close cooperation and mutual relationships between politicians, representatives of the military and representatives of the defense industry. That explains the cause of the behavior of the USA. The lobby of the MIC now has a state-supporting influence in USA. The MIC need a potent enemy to justify the armament. So the US MIC uses Russia to justify military spending. In his farewell speech of January 17, 1961, US President Dwight D. Eisenhower expressly warned of the interdependencies and influences of the military-industrial complex in the USA. Eisenhower, himself once the Army Chief of Staff, viewed the military-industrial complex as a threat to democratic institutions and democracy. The influence of this military-industrial complex on jobs and economic power leads prompt the political leadership to want to solve conflicts militarily rather than politically and thus act as an extended arm of the armaments industry lobby. The American MIC has an interest in the tensions with Russia. The enormous military spending in USA has to be justified and the IS militias are not enough to justify the billions for new weapon systems. Exports to European countries are also greatly encouraged by this conflict with Russia. Strong enemy states like Russia are necessary for this! That is why Russia was systematically made into an enemy partly also with provocations of the Ukraine. The Western media, with their anti-Russian propaganda, is another part of this provocation and production of enmity towards Russia. Ukraine is the useful servant of the USA in this game and therefore of the MIC. The ignorant politics should also increase the hostility towards Russia. Russians also make mistakes and simplify the propaganda. The biggest mistake then is the war against the Ukranians. Because of the Ukraine war, the US MIC can increase its profits immensely. The Russians reacted exactly as the US MIC wanted. Here I also describe how the USA, and with it the West, acted according to the MIC's profit maximization goals. Russia was systematically made into an enemy through propaganda, which Hollywood is also part of. Ukraine's provocations were also useful in this regard. Russians also make mistakes and simplify the propaganda. The war against Ukraine is the biggest mistake! The Russians then allowed themselves to be provoked to attack Ukraine, which is a big mistake. But for decades before the Ukraine war, Russia was provoked and humiliated by the West. Why didn't the West put pressure on the Ukrainian government to hold referendums in Crimea and Donbass? That would have prevented the war with Russia and also prevented the civil war in Ukraine. Presumably the Russians in Crimea and Donbass would have decided to join Russia. But that would be their right according to the right of self-determination of peoples. But the right to self-determination was denied to the Russians in order to further provoke Russia. Russia was also provoked with the expansion of NATO to the east. Why this? Russia was hypocritically called a friend at the time. There was no danger at all. Why did NATO continue to exist at all? That was an alliance of the Cold War and this war was over. NATO was actually superfluous. Instead of NATO, there should have been a European security concept that included Russia like the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council. This Council could have taken care of security in Europe instead of NATO. But the project was not continued and NATO was expanded instead. Russia was ready for a pan-European security alliance, but the West preferred NATO and deliberately excluded Russia. All attempts by the Russians to come to terms with the West have been systematically frustrated. The very sensible Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) was made naught by the West. The same applies to the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty (ABM Treaty. The NATO-Russia Council was also nullified. In addition, the Russians were provoked by stationing weapon systems in Eastern European countries. I could give many other examples that show that the relationship with Russia was systematically deteriorated and so Russia became the enemy of the West. All of this is actually primarily above all useful for the US military-industrial complex. These are the great profiteers of the conflict they caused. Incidentally, it is repeatedly warned that Russia is threatening Poland. But the Russians have absolutely no intention of attacking Poland. We Poles shouldn't trust the Americans. They only use Poland for their own purposes. The US military-industrial complex uses Russia to sell weapons to Poland. Poland is only relevant to them as customer of the arms industry. That is why their propaganda in Poland is causing fear of the Russians. Thereby the Russians have absolutely no intention of waging war with Poland. What reason should the Russians have for an attack on Poland? There is no oil and no Russian minority in Poland, but millions of Poles are ready to fight to the last breath and the Russians know that too! The Poles have demonstrated their abilities in underground resistance in the war against the Germans. The Russians would have to massacre the Poles permanently to secure the rule in Poland. The Russians are not ready for such a criminal occupation. Why should the Russians attack Poland at all? Preventive war for fear of a Polish attack? Russia is a nuclear power and need not be afraid of attacks. Otherwise, Poland would only be able to attack Russia with NATO. Does anyone seriously believe that NATO wants war with the Russians? In fact, the Russians don't have a single reason to attack Poland! But in Poland, from the media and politicians fear of the Russians is systematically stoked to justify the armament. The fear of the Russians is gold value for the Americans! As a result of this fear, Poland is one of the best customers of the American arms industry. The list of Polish US arms purchases is long. Incidentally, it is repeatedly warned that Russia is threatening Poland. But the Russians have absolutely no intention of attacking Poland. We Poles shouldn't trust the Americans. They only use Poland for their own purposes. The US military-industrial complex (MIC) uses Russia and other ostensible potential attackers to sell weapons to Poland. Namely the MIC is co-government in USA. Other states have an armaments industry; in the US, the armaments industry has the state. Russia is a nuclear power and need not be afraid before Polish attacks. Otherwise, Poland would only be able to attack Russia together with NATO. The list of Polish US arms purchases is very long.

I'm Polish. I would like to explain to people in the west (especially in countries such as Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands) the basic differences between the current migration and the one in 2015. Currently, 96% of people who cross our border are women, children and the elderly. Their men have taken up arms and are defending their country, where a war is going on. In 2015, mainly young men came to Europe. As it turned out, they were from different countries (including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kosovo and Iran), not only from Syria. Something completely incomprehensible and dishonorable for us is to welcome a man to our country who has left his sisters, wife, children or mother in a country where there is war and he has emigrated himself. Therefore, no one agreed with us for the forced relocation of those men. Now you can see what real goodness and real help look like. Learn from it.

This is just another show of Polish charity, which will soon be forgotten by almost everyone. World War II, military intervention in Hungary and Czechoslovakia, aid to Yugoslavia, aid to Korean children. Hardly anyone remembers this today. For example, the aid to Hungary, where Poland, which was devastated and impoverished, collected several times more aid than was given by the whole West, including the USA. In a few years it will be fashionable again to persecute Poles and ascribe the worst traits to them. I hope that I am wrong, but I do not hope that it will be otherwise.

Thank you for all the "God-bless-Polands", it is certainly an important factor, but nevertheless think also about supporting Poland somehow financially or materially. Pls find a bank account of any humanitarian organization in PL or UA and simply send some money in addition to the next "God bless"

Just one correction Kasia: sthg lost in translation: central government transfers money to local authorities to help overcome the burden of financing so many needy people. So, as Mr Żuk stated- it's not just local authorities and NGOs but government which refunds most spending. Apart from that obviously the rest is correct: local people opened up their homes and help refugees spontaneously

We - Poles - OF COURSE support Ukraine in this sad time. And You - European people from UK, FR, DE etc. remember : where the borders of independent free Ukraine are - there are the borders of the free European world. And there, where the borders of independent Poland, there are also the borders of Latin civilization, Magdeburg and Roman law. Remember about it.

Her translation was realy poor. Question about how long Lublin is capable to help Ukrainians. Krzysztof mentioned, that this is our resposibility to take care over refugees, and that it is hard to find money for that. But he mentioned also, that we will manage. Very important part that she just skipped. There were more skipped parts. Very poor translation

Im Polish and sick of ukrainians, they come here and act like EVERYTHING is theirs. They dont respect us, they still praise and build statues of bandera which murdered thousands of Polish people. They persecute Hungarian minority, a few days ago the ukrainian army literally shot a rocket into Poland killing 2 Polish people and we didnt even get an apology. We never even got an apology for the ukrainian genocide against Poles in 1943 (they still praise the murderers that did it and calls them heroes).
