Sometimes, other junk in your trunk gets pushed up against the bristles on your snow brush, which can bend the bristles. While unsightly, it usually still works. But there's got to be an easy way to get them back into shape.
There is--using heat!. I used a screwdriver to hold the bristles back while heating them with a mini heat gun. That worked a treat, but you have to be quick and not apply too much heat, because those bristles can melt very easily. Just a small amount of heat, and bending them back with a screwdriver shank did the trick.
If you don't have a heat gun, a household hair dryer will probably work. I'd start on the lowest setting, you can always set it to the next highest heat setting if need be. I find the mini heat gun is really the best tool for the job since it puts the air over a smaller area at a time. I have a large heat gun but I think it would have been way too powerful for this, and melted the bristles. Again, use small amounts of heat at a time, otherwise you risk destroying the brush.
