Living Big In A Tiny House

Living Big In A Tiny House

7 жыл бұрын

This super tiny Tokyo apartment may just be one of the smallest places we have seen so far, yet at 8 m2 (82 ft2) it still provides a perfect space to allow Emma (originally from Australia) to live a big life in Japan.

its nice that she honours the landlord’s instruction/culture of taking shoes off before entering the apartment. Back in London, us a group of Malaysian students were renting a flat. One day we had the porter over to look at some flat issues and my housemate kindly asked him to take off his shoes, to which he replied “I’m not going to follow another culture” and so he walked all over the flat with his shoes on. ☹️

Yeah I have fibromyalgia and if a flare gets bad enough scaling a ladder can be laborious. Also during an archeological excavation I was once housed in a loft with a HUGE entry hole in the floor not two feet from the mattress, so I had to ask someone to switch with me ... couldn't sleep for the fear I'd fall and set off a huge flare

I would install a sleeping hammock next to the loft. Not a western hammock with rigging, those are quite unstable but if you look up hammocks like for outdoors camping, they're very safe and snug.

Everything fits in, even a toploader washing machine, I have a neat balcony. He probably really likes his wife, unlike most marriages, and enjoys being with her, plus they don't have kids so there's no reason to leave her home alone.
