Wonderful interview session. And very educative. I came across this video in my research about moving to Botswana as an expat, with my wife, and I'll love to know more. Plus, I'll appreciate every help available, and/or direct contact or mail. I'm a Nigerian, and in Nigeria. Thank you.

@@loratotv4960 thank you, I think this tax is called “transfer duty on the acquisition of immovable property”, I think it may be 10% now as I just Googled it, but it was 30% before and that was off putting for me to invest.

Dumelang ma. Please i saw on the internet that you have to live in Botswana on a residence permit for 5 years before foreigners get permanent residency. But you said 2 years to get citizenship how? Kindly find out for me please thanks.
@loratotv4960
@loratotv4960 Ай бұрын
In Botswana, you generally need to reside in the country for at least 10 years before you can apply for citizenship through naturalization. This period includes a minimum of 5 years of continuous residence immediately before the application. Additionally, you must meet other requirements such as demonstrating knowledge of the Setswana language and culture and proving that you are of good character. I know of that... but I will find out from the lawyer. I forwarded your concern to her. Thanks!

@@loratotv4960thanks for your reply. When you say knowledge of sestwana language do you mean i must know how to speak read and write or there is a language exam i must write?
@loratotv4960
@loratotv4960 Ай бұрын
@@prospereveryday2255 Yes, in the past, it was 10 years. I went through that long 10 years wait. It was then reduced to 5, then 2 years. However, you must be a resident residing in Botswana at the time of application, and the application forms have full details of the requirements. For further information and clarification, they can contact me for a full comprehensive consultation.
