Loved your video Cristina - so down to earth. I’m in the states, Charlotte, NC to be exact. My allergist told me to check out Oslo this week - it’s lovelY! He did admit it’s quite cold in the winter, so I”m still doing my due diligence. Best to you and thanks for this channel! See you soon!

Thank you, Charlotte! Always so lovely to recieve these encouraging comments! Yeah, it is cold here, so if you visit make sure you pack thicker clothes than what you think you need. Oslo has also beautiful surrounding nature, that if you want to explore in winter , you will need warm thick clothes!

Hei Christina! Thanks for the new video. I really love your style of editing. Especially putting together video scenes with short comments that make up one spoken sentence in the end. That`s really fun to watch. Perhaps you want to have a look at "Motoberfest" by "Nomad Sweden". Robert has a very similar humor and the video might give you some inspiration on editing. Keep it up, I hope there is more to come!

60+ years ago, I had a Norwegian friend who had studied at a University in the US. He had just bought a car here and suggested we drive to Maine for a long weekend. I asked him why Maine ? It would look like Norway. I suggested Vermont and we went. He enjoyed Vermont but said it was just like Norway. A year later, I visited him in Oslo. It was very much like New England.

@@CristinaFilms The shortest day of the year is 21 or 22 Dec ( in 2023 was it 22 Dec ) were Oslo have 6 hours (minus 6 minutes ) with the sun above the horizon. The sunset was at 15:12. Due to the shallow angle of the sun's trace the sun set / decreasing light will last looong and the defined darkness is not there before 1 hours later ....around 16:10 . The same is the case in the morning ....giving 1 hours of increasing light before the sun comes up above the horizon. Hence 1 h + 6 h sun + 1 h...... Your "dark at 2 pm" only happened in your fantasy.
@CristinaFilms

@@Dan-fo9dk Thanks for the data☺ , however because it’s’ actually not sunny most days in late autumn and winter and the sky is dark grey (for a foreigner) at 2 PM is actually dark enough for me to say it gets dark. I lived in Spain for 15 years, so yeah, for us people who live in countries with enough light, the sky in Norway is pretty dark. But it’s very cool to be informed about science and hearing new perspective, thanks!
@Dan-fo9dk
@Dan-fo9dk 4 ай бұрын
@@CristinaFilms Sorry ....you're "logic" does not match up with reality....even if you very much try to justify your claim.... As a scientist on these things I have to tell you that as long as the sun is up ( for example at 10 dgr over the horizon ) ....even with clouds / like 100% overcast .....Oslo is equally bright or dark as any other place in the word ...under same preconditions.... Hence a sun's elevation of 10 dgr. in Oslo is also 10 dgr everywhere ....the amount of light is the same. It actually happens that there are clear skies also in Oslo..... You must be specific in order to avoid spreading misconceptions .... So if there is something that you could complain about is that Oslo ...or Norway generally.... has much more cloudy and rainy/snowy weather than for example Spain. Norway is geographically a very long stretched country. No weather system cover the whole country at the same time. There are large differences in weather. Areas further away from the sea / inland has much more days with clear sky than Oslo or else near open water. When it comes to your claim of "enough" light I must tell you that over a year does Norway have more hours of daylight (not necessarily sunlight (again those clouds)) than Spain ...or any country further south of Norway (until 58 dgr. S (on the southern hemisphere )). The further north you go into the Arctic of Norway the number of hours of daylight ....over a year..... increases. If you go to Svalbard in the high Arctic of Norway they will have (without trying to count the hours) at least enough hours to make up 2 weeks of light more than Spain. I'm from the Arctic of Norway ....but I have also lived in sunny San Diego in California....which is on same latitude as Morocco in Norther Africa. I've also travelled a bit....to over 80 countries....and seen the light both here and there.

Hello, Jules ☺️ I don't know anything about catering. But in restaurants and hotels they always need chefs and waiters, especially right now when the season starts. At the website finn.no you can find many job offers and apply. Also there are Facebook pages of people new in Norway in every city, join them and you can ask more. Hope it helps!
