wow.. that was hectic... but i can't tell you guys how exciting it is to move into my VERY OWN FIRST OFFICIAL APT in NYC!!! seriously this means the entire world. Even though i am splitting a small studio with my roommate, the struggle makes the dream.. hehe whatever it takes for me to pursue my passions in this city ill do it!!

Having grown up poor in NYC, some cold weather tips I can give you is 1, seal that window. They sell these giant plastic sheets at home depot or online that you put on your window. It stops the air from coming in or out and blocks the view but you stay warm... or you can buy thermal curtains. They are thick and heavy and create that barrier. Thats a personal preference. But also, in that small of a space, if you put a pot of water to boil and let it boil a long while, the steam will fill up the apartment and warm it up nice. Though, there is that possibility of boiling for too long and developing mold so you have to temper it with the moisture levels in the room. You can buy a humidity meter online for like $6. Good luck!

Thought this was a nice song to start off the day : ). “Bright Day”, by River Stickney. Also, is there any chance you have room for an apartment size deep-freeze? I have one and I love it! So nice to be able to stock up on groceries and always have fruits and veg available 😊. I live in a small place too, but no roommate, so I have a bit more room. Just a thought 🤷‍♀️. I don’t store anything on it, of course, but I use the top of mine as a workspace. I take a lot of things in powder form (have chronic fatigue that I’m recovering from) and that’s always where I mix everything up 😊.

Found your vlog today and wow i adore your vlogs. As a nurse my self i almost died to hear how long working shift it is over there phew. We working 10 hours nightshifts here and that is hard enough. I sleep with a heated blanket (my ass gets cold very easily) it’s a life saver in the winter. Thankfully Amazon has good options that don’t cost $100 (paid $45 for mine)

This is way more than California. Except maybe the Bay Area. I’ve never seen a place that small for 2560 a month. You can get a nice one bedroom for that in la.

@@nicolesawyer7117 Orange County is expensive as well 1280ish isn't that bad, my friend rented a place recently 2500 one bedroom. Irvine in the 3000s for a one bedroom. A studio/1 bathroom, 725 sq. ft. Starting at $2,585. I heard bay area is expensive too 😱.
