I'm Mexican, born and raised. And seeing my country the way you portray it, made me cry. It's beautiful 💕 There are many terrible news about my home, but honestly, we are so much more than that. We are more good than bad, and we fight every day to demonstrate who we truly are. Thank you, Isabel, it was a memorable video.

I've been living in Mexico for over five years and coming here for many decades before making the move. To me it is as close to paradise as I ever expect to find. While it has beautiful sights, it is the people who make it for me. They are easy to live with I've found.

That happens to a lot of people and places because the media tends to focus more on the bad than the good. So that is usually what most people see, then think that everything is that way.

México will always have a special place in my heart. I came there when I had a lot of troubles in my home country, where everyone is very distant and cold. the people of this beautiful place taught me how to trust in others, how to cry and show emotions, how to live life playfully and how to have compassion towards myself and others. Even if politics and powerful people try to corrupt this country, they will never succeed in destroying the innate beauty of the people and their true connection to their land. Their spirit is strong and healing, no one can take it away.

Hey Isabel and Logan. You're doing exactly what I've done most of my life. Just winging it. The best way to go. At 17, my bestie and I saved money, bought backpacks, pup tent, cooking gear, got passports, Youth Hostel passes, student fare tickets on Pan Am, and took off for a summer in Europe. I ended up staying there. My bestie died in our 30s, so it means even more that we did this. "The days are long, but the years are short." Keep doing these adventures, because once children come, the nature of adventures must change, because life does.

Hi Isabelle, Mexican here, thanks for portraying Mexico outside of the chaotic news ♡ I've lived in Oaxaca for most of my life, slow life and beautiful beaches. I suggest you to try San José for the magic shrooms and the beaches are just spectacular (Mazunte). if you're wondering about the narco stuff this a more north problem, here the social problem you will find is poverty and gentifrification. You know what they say you attract what you are, as long as you live in a free scare mindset enviroment you will be just fine. Enjoy Mexico and don't forget to tast our sacred cacao, oaxaca has the most amazing cacao ceremonies, coffee beans, and textile! xx

I went to Mazatlan Mexico on vacation, ended up spending a total of 18 years living in Mexico. It is such a beautiful country, and beautiful people. Mafia, home invasions, and kidnappings became a problem where we lived, and I ended up moving back to the USA. Not everything you read online is fear mongering. Recently mazatlan and culican were shut down because the mafia had taken over both airports, were burning buses/cars in the streets, and killing people, all in retaliation of the son of el chapo being taken into custody. Be careful, and I do hope that you continue to have a wonderful vacation

@@dr.jenniferma3914 For many people, myself included, this is a very normal way of traveling. You can just open Maps or Airbnb and browse through it until you find something interesting, and a few days later (or even the same day) you can just be on a plane or a train or a bus and go there. Of course she didn't just throw a dart on a map and just stumbled on this village, but she doesn't imply that at all. She's just saying her plans change within the span of single days and that's super common.

Isabel, I'm impressed that you were able to spend a week in a small village in the mountains around Oaxaca without being able to speak Spanish. Is it possible that the people there spoke Zapotec, a native Indian language. In 1974 we were a family of five (three small kids) and driving back to the US from Nicaragua where we had lived 2 years. Oaxaca is known for it's hand woven blankets stained with natural dyes. We wanted to buy two of these blankets in a village outside of Oaxaca. The old man who made and sold these blankets only spoke Zapotec and not Spanish. We ended up with a one hour bargaining session in Spanish with the man's young granddaughter who interpreted between Spanish and Zapotec. BTW, it's normal in Mexico for a bargaining (regateo) session to go on for a long time. We had been used to doing it in Nicaragua where it lasted only a minute.

I honestly did not want to leave ( may go back) and I only used half of what was in my little suitcase... I was mostly in a very small village, heating by fire and it taught me more than I could ever type here. most of all, I changed forever in my way of living.... I live very slow and simple. Former changed by the people and ways of life I saw. Better quality food and way of life. I let go and never looked back and find I cannot "hustle" and don't want to. Enjoy :)

Hi Isabel! It's nice to see that you are in Mexico. As a Mexican I've always wanted to go to Oaxaca, I've never had the chance so far, so thanks for showing us a bit of it. I'd like to add that things do happen in this country (of which we are not proud, of course): kidnappings, drug cartels, insecurity in general. I would recommend that you ask local people for safe places to go; unfortunately not every place is safe. As Mexicans we have learned not to trust just anyone. Generally people are very friendly and will be able to guide you. Be calm but be alert. I try not to sound alarmist but I would be lying if I told you that nothing happens here. I hope the best for your trip, stay safe and if you need any recommendations from local people you can ask through an IG story or something, we would love to help :) Greetings from Guadalajara, Mx

I lived in Mexico for a year and half, it's a beautiful place. Villages are definitely safer than the cities, unless you go to a tourist area. There are more safeguards in place in tourist areas. But I am so glad you guys are having fun!

Thanks for sharing your journeys, Isabel! I would love to hear you sing a duet sometime, or even solo. I have a feeling you are a very good singer :) And what is a good singer anyway? All humans can just sing if they want. I'd love to hear your friend sing more too. I see you guys connecting and it is beautiful! my advice- hold on.

I was in Oaxaca last week! It was really nice. It seems to be getting really trendy as a tourist destination, so many people have been going there lately. If you’re back in Oaxaca de Juarez you should check out Hierba Dulce. It’s an all vegan place with traditional dishes.

For Mexicans we always have been going to Oaxaca because it’s one of the most best states in our country. But yes, foreigners have been falling in love with Oaxaca the last decade.

You get the winter blues like I do. It’s a real thing and everything you said about your mood totally changed in the warmth and sun I 100% understand that the natural vitamin D is a cure for the winter blues. I have wondered if you had the winter blues last winter when you struggled with your emotions really bad, probably the worst since watching your channel many yrs ago. Now you know so maybe you can start to travel during the worst part of the winter. My winter blues start in late September. It wasn’t until I went to the doctor one year feeling depressed , icky, and didn’t give a care about anything . The next year I went to the doctor feeling the same way. The doctor looks at me and asked me if I knew that I come to the doctors the exact same time last year down to the day. I of course had no clue. That’s when he told me that I have the winter blues. ( which I already knew he just confirmed what I already known my whole life) . The winters just suck. Cold, everything dead, snow, and did I mention the cold?? It’s only pretty 1 day a year Christmas the rest of the time it can be sunny and warm. We live on a farm so moving to a warm climate wouldn’t work because the animals like to eat all year around.. silly right?! My hubby sent me to Florida for a few years but I haven’t gone the last 2 yrs for one reason or another. We are winter blues sisters. lol Not the ideal group to be a part but it’s a necessary group to have. Supporter do support and you need people who understand what your going through . The ones who understand are ones who live it as well. I want to say my family understood but they didn’t . They tried but it’s hard to explain to others exactly what your feeling . words are hard sometimes.

I HAD TO PAUSE at 0:23s. If you are not listening with headphones, PAUSE AND REPLAY THE VIDEO FROM THE BEGINNING. The audio in this video is absolutely incredible and absolutely blew me away. I'm in my school's library right now taking a break to watch and I must say I have CHILLS. Mexico- along with Hawaii- are one of the places on this Earth where my heart has resonated so strongly. I am beyond excited to watch this new video, Isabel, I am just- my breath has been taken away with this audio paired with the visuals. Wow. stunning job.

she's becoming so ew, doing such shady shit for likes. like her and Logan pretending they bought a van to make live in ready so they can do the van life.they bought the van already remodeled, took some parts out and pretended they built it and REMODELED IT.. the old owner of the van called them out on it. and she and Logan, raquelle started bullying Jasmin cherry because she called them out on it and then Isabel sent all her troll fans to degrade Jasmin. and now she's literally taking all her clothes off for likes and views.

Logan❤️, Izobella, always remind ourselves that all over the world there are parents with children, that all if thrm want to be safe and take care of their family. Mejícó es une maravilla, genorisidad y hermosas personas. Travelled the "most dangerous road " of the country...with everybody on the bus snoring along their dreams. I could have robbed all of the travellers. I was so happy when the dri er told me how to walk to my hostel in the midst if the nite and not yo take a taxi , like he did to awell off american family with sleepy kidgos. He recognized the traveller in me and knew I spoke good Spanish . But above all he knew the safety issue in his town was not to worry about and that would find a helping local if lost. ;))) Travelling with a 6kg backpack or bag on local chickenvans, no problem ever. Enjoy your new inspiration, thank you for sharing the love of the musicality of your lifes.

So humbling, refreshing, and therapeutic. I also learned there's only so much control we have of our lives, to a point we need to just go with the 'ebb & flow', that way not forced, rather organic, less stress.

I've been watching your videos for about two years. This is possibly the best one IMHO. It begins with a maturity but never looses its positivity nor the possibility in the power to let go when something doesn't go the way you expected, and, it owns every second of itself. I even paused the video at the end the same way one might put a book down as the last pages ticked away so it would last longer.

I am always in awe of finding small villages that still are creating their sustainable living with crafts that have been passed hand to hand down through the generations. I hope you both really enjoy this new journey and thank you so much for sharing it with us. just wondering whether Logan shared his beautiful guitar playing with the local children, i have always found that music reaches further than language when we can't share words. love to you both x
