Best to just accept it, realize that there is nothing anybody can do that will change it, and stop worrying, because there is literally nothing you can do about it. Can't beat em, join em'. I’ve been told rpa operators can easily transfer into the private sector but what exactly would you do in the private sector? Like what would an average airline need an mq-9 pilot for?

Drones are used a lot in agriculture and research so I guess that's the primary outlet. LE uses drones a lot but they are a lot less professional setups. Alternatively the skillset could transfer over as a helicopter coordinator for LE.

AFAIK there isn't a IP address. The network the drones and other wireless devices used by the military operate on a completely separate set of frequencies than civilian products. The most likely issue is jamming, sabotage, and in a total warfare situation then direction finding and just launching indirect fire or missiles at that location.
