@thedotdotgamer360 I mean yeah. But it can easily come off as a drama. The comedy gets twisted when you realize whats going on with Truman and then how his fans were all content in watching him for so long until one day they weren't. Which means they only cared because the writers of the show made them care. That to me was one of the scariest aspects. And it kind of showed how we are with the celebrities we grow up with especially the child stars that went through hell.

That line "no you're scaring me, Meryl" I love that line so much, it perfectly represents the different types of fear they're feeling as well as Truman's deep horror for the reality of his terrifying life. Meryl is just scared in the moment where as Truman's fear is so much bigger, such a chilling line for me.

For those who haven’t see seen the Truman show, it is about a man who is getting recorded for a tv show but he doesn’t know it but in this part the girl (Meril) gets scared and breaks character by saying “do something” and she said that to the tv host recording thru the camera. Hope it helped ❤

What interesting is that, almost everything was the same damn thing every single day without any real reality events. Nothing new, so ratings weren't so high. Even after they cut transmission, the "afk"screen had higher ratings then the show itself because finally something good is actually happening.

That movie came out in 1998 and I was a kid back in 1998 and when I look back at that time, it was a really bizarre year. That was the time people were starting to learn more about space and there were so many theories about what goes on in the universe and one of them was the Truman show, like it was a indescribable feeling at that time, but people were starting to learn about space and research if there were actually aliens in this world

In a way some of the actors are victims too (just not NEARLY as much as Truman) But think about it, she was hired to make her whole life this man she didn't really love. And then she was expected to have his baby!? And never tell her baby that it was all a show!? That's pretty messed up. And the best friend grew up side by side with Truman, probably under a lot of pressure from his parents to not lose the job and not to tell Truman. But let's be honest, he grew up in the show too. His only friend is/was Truman. He even had to take a break and "travel" when in reality he was in rehab. It took a toll on all of them.
