Archival footage of an exclusive interview with duo Indian composer Kalyanji-Anandji of Gujarat. In the latter part of the interview, the duo brother was asked about husband and wife jokes. " Life, in a nutshell, is like a chewing gum, it's sweet in the beginning but it loses the sweetness as you keep chewing, yet you keep chewing" (laughs). No doubt they have good sense of humour!! Good partners.
Known as potboilers in the 1970s, Kalyanji-Anandji was best known for works like Don, Bairaag, Saraswatichandra, Qurbani, Tridev, and Safar. They also won the 1975 Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for Kora Kagaz.
The interviewer rightly asked about clashes of opinions when two music directors come together. It's amusing how Anandji turns to Kalyanji to respond the question. Two brains work even better for these duet singers. KA's were known for finest songs from the 60s and 70s.
