In today's Video, I discuss the delay/big update on DON'T NOD's newest game Lost Records: Bloom & Rage! DON'T NOD officially announces Lost Records: Bloom & Rage has been delayed from late 2024 to early 2025 to give Life is Strange Double Exposure the time it deserves and to ensure their game has a successful launch! DON'T NOD is back again with a new universe called Lost Records which has an eerily similar vibe to Life is Strange! Deck Nine Games is working on Life is Strange Double Exposure. Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is a new narrative adventure game from the creators of the critically acclaimed series, Life is Strange. Film your last summer in Velvet Cove playing as Swann, a quirky introvert who loves capturing reality through the lens of her trusty camcorder. Honestly this was a smart move, gives both games time to breathe. I figured something was going to happen with both planning to release close to one another in late 2024.

i was/am pretty hyped for this game and was kinda surpised that theyd release both games so close to each other, im not surprised that they delayed that but i would have loved to be spoiled with both games. early 2025 is not so bad either tho. i agree with your release prediction, probably would bet on february even. cant wait to play, and cant wait to watch you play!! ..now if they just make a life is strange game where we play rachel.....

As an LiS fan, I'm a bit disappointed Lost Records was delayed rather than Double Exposure tbh. I'm far more excited for new IP + new characters over the return of Max. I enjoyed 2 and True Colors for the same reason.

Concidering how little we have seen of it, compared to Double Exposure I am not surprised. Double Exposure came out the gate with in engine trailers, and a gameplay demo. We have not even seen that for Lost Records.

It's understandable, though if either game turns out to be just "okay", it'll have made the waiting so much worse! I would have released the new LIS on the ten year anniversary of the original in January, but I'll never tell anyone what to do lol. I'm still excited to try both!

makes sense, i’m more than happy with that i probably would have played through all the lis one first and enjoy that before playing the lost records anyway. Also gives us chance to get more excited to enjoy lost records after we’ve hopefully enjoyed lis

Lost records is already ready there's nothing more to add to it usually these games are made over 2-3 years before release and they get finished and they announce it some months ago purely to hype it up

Life is Strange is one of the best games I’ve ever played. I played the originals both before the storm and the sequel. Then I played Life is Strange 2 which was ok. Then I played the remastered versions of both before the storm and the sequel, and now I’m currently playing Life is Strange true colors

I think it was a wise decision to delay it. In Fall and winter so many games are coming out, not just LiS: DE, but also a new Assassins Creed and a bunch of others. I'm still thrilled about Lost Record, but i'm happy that i don't have to play them side by side.

I get it, it makes sense, but at the same time, personally, this kinda sucks. I would be playing both games in full regardless of when they're released, and I can play so few games due to my physical capabilities, I was excited to be getting two I could actually play around the same time. Also, I know they're rival developers with rival products but I don't think it would hurt them to communicate because, from a marketing perspective, these releases seem backwards. would it not make more marketing sense to have Lost Records release first, then have Life Is Strange with the return of Max release around the anniversary of the first game?

Honestly, this kinda annoys me. Square is openly greedy with IP/pretty unfair with their creative teams and Decknine is riding off the success of a game they didn't even make. DontNod is kinda put in a position of having Square sink their new creation with LiS coming out at the same time OR waiting. While I think this is clearly to keep B&R from being overshadowed, I think it was pretty smart of them to come out of this looking like the bigger person.

You know what? I'm not surprised about it. Like once I saw the release date for LiS: DE, I knew eventually that Lost Records would have to be delayed and that's fine. I would rather have a fully completed game than a half-baked rushed one. So much respect to Dontnod for making that choice for Deck Nine to release LiS. ❤

It's good news. Devs need to learn to TAKE THEIR TIME! How many bad games were released far too early? Do you want another Cyberpunk 2077? Wait. Take your time. Don't rush your devs, don't push them to exhaustion. Don't release a game before it's actually ready. If it takes delaying a year, delay a year. Take the time to do it right.

Don'tnod are very smart. I feel like if they never made life is strange 2 then the life is strange franchise would probably not be that popular. I feel like Don'tnod, larian studios who made Baldur's gete 3, and software who made elden ring are very smart and know what their doing and are the ones that are saving the gaming community.

I’m glad they did this. I feel like all Life is Strange fans are hype for Lost Records, but fans have been wanting Max back for sooo long that October-December is going to be players taking their time playing the game and talking about it. If Lost Records came out same time, it would be neglected, not bc fans didn’t want to play it but because everyone would be busy focusing on this game we’ve waited so long for. I know some think square dropped this same time frame on purpose and with how companies can be who knows.. but the rumours for this game have existed before TC even released, with leaks saying Max would be returning. Many Lis fans guessed late 2024 the new game would come, so I think this is just very bad timing for Dontnod. It’s the best for both games who will share such a huge overlap of fans to have their own time to shine.

Oh and my take on LIS2 is like the majority. It was boring in many ways. The boys were boring characters and it felt like most of the game was a babysitting simulator. The characters were weaksauce and the plot wasn't anywhere as thick and grabbing as LIS1. Look at the tons of reactions to finding Rachael body and especially finding Mr. Jefferson. Everybody was SHOOK. LIS3 and be4 the storm are much better for me than that sequel ugh. Love u Dom sorry
