I remember when Fred Rogers passed away. I was saddened when that happened. He was the best thing to happen to television ever.

How I WISH you could see the accompanying screen. When this show - I mean "visits" - ended , it was the end of sincerity in children's programming. It was the ONLY real and sincere program for young children. No monetary motive, no marketing. It was all about the children, which is the way it should be when creating a show for children. For me, this is the most important show for children in the history and current life of television.

I wish I could've seen what this presenter was presenting on the screen. It was especially frustrating when there wasn't any description of the slide, and no sound accompanying the presented slide. I was left wondering what was on the slide which everyone was clapping for. I'm glad that I saw the movie about Mr. Rodger's life last July at the movie theater.

Stop. Politics has no place regarding Mr. Rogers & you know that. Both the jackass & elephant in the room are fitting symbols of our broken governmental system. But enough about that.

@@xyberfunk well I've been seeking him most all of my life and he NEVER came to me. When I prayed, he was silent. When I asked, he never came. When I asked for forgiveness, he left me hanging so I don't believe in a living God that never came into my life. Catholic , went to church every Sunday like all good Catholics, he NEVER came through the door. I guess he hated me and I stopped praying. I will never ever seek "it" again. A loving God, I think not.

I remember a lot about Fred Rogers when I was growing up in the 80's. I always understood everything he says and shows of what is right and what is wrong. He was a very honest and caring person about children and people. I will always miss him until my dying day.

Mister Rogers was special to every child. Including me! I loved watching him. He would make my day special by watching him. He knew how to treat and talk with children all over the U.S. he was very special to everyone! I still think of them days when I watched him and how he made me feel. My 2 nieces watched him and liked him as much as I did! He was very special!

Mr. Rogers Neighborhood was a different show than all the other shows that came out then and even today. Definitely a treasure to behold upon. Just wish the show would air more frequent reruns these days. Mr. Rogers Neighborhood welcomed us into a calm atmosphere. I was born in 1996, so Mr. Rogers would have been in it's last few years of taping the show, but it definitely gave us such a good feeling. Thanks to Mr. Rogers and all the crew that worked behind the scenes.

I wish we could see the screen. Mr. Rogers was awesome. He tried to teach kids that they were of value, regardless of who they had or didn't have in their lives that was giving them this message.

I'm extremely disappointed in no video being shown. There is no purpose to this video without the screenshots. You could have EASILY done this by doing split screen with the footage being shown in the smaller paneling wouldn't effect any licensing / trademark issues.

To be honest,.. I think Fred Rogers should have had a better tribute than this because of the numerous people he has touched over the years... He should have had countless people on a line pay tribute to how he has touched their lives... He should have had a "soldiers burial" like a president should have had and more... its just my opinion... I really loved Mister Rogers and how he has guided and touched my life... I think He should have had a grander funeral and tribute to what he contributed to the world! I miss you Mr Rogers!!!!

The movie is a FLOP! Total FLOP! Save your money. No one can act God inside of them, not even Ton Hanks. Or should I say, especially Tom Hanks. The close up shots were weird, there was no light in Tom Hanks eyes. Like I said, you just can’t act like you have God’s Spirit in you. No matter who you are. That’s the truth. As the generation that grew up healthier because of Mr Rogers awesome love that went right through the TV screen, I’m offended. Sorry, that’s just my opinion. I wonder how other people feel about the movie. ?

The Tom Hanks movie was a theatrical film version of "Mister Rogers & Me", based on how Mr. Rogers affected people like Benjamin Wagner.

TherealRNO I understand that now, but I think they should have called it that, or something very similar, rather than the movie title sounding as if we were going to experience Mr Rogers and his shows again. I’m a baby boomer and was so taken back when supposed Mr Rogers starts his show, shows a board with faces on it, and opens the creepy pic of the reporter with blood on his face. It just wasn’t at all what I was expecting. Also, aside from all of that, as I said before, Tom Hanks used to be my favorite actor of all times but in this movie he is very much out of place. I’ll say it once more because it’s so true. And I’d love to know what other true born again, Bible studying Christians have to say about this too, but no one can act as if God is in side of them, not even Tom Hanks. It’s a spiritual thing, and Tom Hanks doesn’t have it. I pray he does in the future but for anyone to play a person with that much natural, unashamed kindness and gentleness as Fred Rogers who admits is from knowing God, they’ve gotta have The Spirit. It’s one thing that can never ever be acted or it’s just so disingenuous every time. That’s my point. Thanks for your comment 😁👍🏼

@@BlessedBaubles Well, the relatively short 2018 documentary "Won't You Be My Neighbor?" was the true, official biopic of Mister Fred McFeely Rogers & was only a limited theatrical release by itself, but it has since already been quietly put onto basic DVD & added to digital platforms (like Netflix, Amazon.com & even here on KZfaq for a reasonably cheap $2.00+ price). By contrast, the 2019 film "A Beautiful Day in [the] Neighborhood" - starring Tom Hanks in the role of the revered public television icon - was merely a nationwide theatrical version of jaded reporter Benjamin Wagner's life-altering encounter with Mister Rogers, effectively showing how Wagner's life was positively affected by meeting Mister Rogers, beyond just the seemingly simple yet deeply complex confines of his intricate television visits. Incidentally, the actual Ben Wagner had his legitimate experience with Mister Rogers officially recorded as the PBS-endorsed "Mister Rogers & Me" made-for-TV documentary released a few short years ago, which, like the show's multiple seasons themselves, has been widely available via Amazon Prime for quite some time now. Likewise, all 800+ episodes of the _Neighborhood_ series with the genuine Mister Rogers are freely available for online download from archive.org under the umbrella title "The _Neighborhood_ Archive" by a devoted uploader, meanwhile selected noteworthy episodes were compiled by the Fred Rogers Co. (the former Family Communications, Inc.) as DVD collections featuring 30 episodes a-piece under names like "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood: The _Beautiful Day_ Collection" & "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood: The _Won't You Be Mine_ Collection".
