Just so that others understand, a salary of 150-200k is common in areas like Seattle, Bay Area because of the high cost of living. So, converting this in rupees doesn’t make sense. It’s always to grab the eyes of Indians. So, don’t get excited by ‘1 crore’ salary. When you’re earning in USD, you’re also spending in USD.

Yes absolutely..coz if you go to rent a 1 bed 1 bath apartment..it cost you around $2000 including water sewer trash..and electricity, internet cost is different and also renter insurance...My husband doesn't work in Amazon but his annual package is also between $150k to $200k..but again i would say its a knowledge able vlog for those who don't know...

@@itzmesunita Absolutely! But this is an important aspect because ‘1 crore’ just raises eyebrows where aa in reality, it isn’t the case what people are thinking, so better to clear that so that they know!

No that’s not the right way to put it. I’ve seen a hell lot of difference in the salaries where the company and the job role is same but location is different. For instance, Amazon will automatically pitch higher salary for an SDE in Bay Area or Seattle or in NYC compared to someone they hired in say Nashville which is because of the high living expenses in such states. Also, such high paying salaries are part of entire package which includes Bonus, Restricted stock units, relocation etc. I think these things need to be clearly mentioned when doing such videos and an arbitrary number should not be thrown for click-baits. I personally feel such things can mislead a lot of young folks watching from India, aspiring to come to United States for high paying jobs…

There are small business owners who pull in half a million dollars a year easily. I don’t understand this fascination with converting dollars into INR, if it was a crore dollars then that’s something to talk about. Even small companies are paying 1 Cr INR in Seattle for software jobs, $140 K/year isn’t any big shakes.

Don't compare it to india because if you heard 250$ only for parking, in INR it is something 18 k india 😂😂 it is common salary in india.. the cost of living is very high just like it's salary..

I want to give a big shout-out to all those working tirelessly to earn a living and build wealth during this period. My wife and I are both retired as an engineer, we are debt-free, and we're living smart and frugal with our money. Despite the economy challenges, we're still earning passive income thanks to our savings and investments. It depends on the location.. Like in Seattle, you can save about half or more than half the salary(considering 110k), But if we talk about California with same salary, you won't save much.

Ab dollar ko rupees me convert karoge toh obviously amount bada hi lagega.Even jo log service based organisations se US me transfer hote hai H1B or L1 me they are also getting 1.2 to 2.0 Lakh per annum ..jo salary isse mil rahi hai woh common hai Seattle and California me kyunki yaha par Kaafi saari top level ki organization hai like Microsoft ,JP Morgan, Google.

What about taxes, rent and cost of living. I was in US for 8 years 1crore is peanut in US. Don't make him look like crorepati to common man in India. His standard of living will be just like any middle class or above middle class person in India.

There’s now an established Indian community in the US so it should not be too hard to adjust. Imagine when the first wave of desi immigrants came from India in the 60s/70s how difficult it must have been. And what she said @13:55 is so true. So many people say they will stay for a few years but get adjusted and stay back. My parents were like this; they thought they would stay in US for just five years but then they stayed permanently (and I’m so glad they did….:-) )!

INR 1 Cr is nothing, Even in India we have many MNC's which is offering more than 1 Cr. Infact, around 30% goes on tax.
