我曾经在一家叙利亚餐厅吃饭，老板人超级好，听说我们是中国人还送了我们菜和甜点，把他的相册拿出来给我们看他以前的家，房子，庄园，亲戚，真的是很淳朴，我去过其他的中东国家，其实人们都是渴望自由安稳和快乐的生活，我们应该尊重他们。

眼神里的伤痛和无奈让人感到难过，能在中国感受片刻宁静的生活是孩子对父母的孝心，谁不想在自己的土地安度晚年。看似是别国别人身上的灾难与不幸其实都是我们人类自己的灾难和不幸。我们只是恰巧生在了强大而和平的国度，需倍感珍惜的同时对别人的善意怜悯也是要有的。

能看出他们的无奈，离开故土不是不热爱，而是为了生存，这个世界其实从来没有和平过，而是我们身处在一个和平的地区而已！

During the recent civil war, Syria was torn apart by the jihadists supported by United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey. Yet the Syrians persevered and held their heads up high, never giving up. The Syrian people have my highest respects!

叙利亚在我小时候是一个很想去旅游的地方，古老的文明和漂亮的建筑。灯塔战争用它的贪婪和暴力毁灭了我想参观旅游的全部地方。

100年前，苦难的中国，去了很多国外留学的中国人，后来都功成名就回来建设祖国；也希望这个小伙在中国学到回去建设自己的国家。中国缘于苦难中成长，终有一天会站在世界的顶端。

She has very good recommendations to go and settle in the US but wants to enrol in a US university, get a PhD & come back to China and work with their government. She said to me, "money is not important". :)Most Indians are fed Western propaganda, they believe that the average Chinese citizen is very disgruntled with CPC. I have not found a single Chinese citizen to date who hates CPC. They say that CPC may not be perfect, but still, one-party socialism is better than western demo.No one is dying for democracy in China. They love the "authoritarian" form of governance as long as their GDP grows. It is highly important to talk to the Chinese residents or ex-pats to understand this, rather than listening to biased "experts" like Gordon Chang. #Facts

A lot of people in the world actually not only Chinese people have a lot misconceptions about Syria and Syrian people's lives, actually while i am living abroad as a Chinese national I also face a lot stereotypes and misconceptions about China, there's a lot do with media. So i think it's important for individuals like you and me to explain again and again to foreigners that Syria is not all bout war but also very fascinating ancient history and also peope live their lives mostly like the rest of the world. For me I always tell the foreigner friends, actually I am foreigner instead of them,lol that China is not always about western media fabricated stories of human rights issues or political conspiracy but also there are multiple deep dimensions that are fascinating. I explain again, again and again. I would also like to say that in China we have many people and each individual share different background and opinions nobody can represent others except themselves. I am a Chinese originally from the north and am happy to see that my home country opened a door to him and all his family. As China has already become a middle-income country, more refugees can definitely be taken over. However, i can feel lots of challenges for them to live in China in terms of cultural shock, language barrier and different political/social system. As they live in a city (not a village) and the man speaks good Chinese as well as English, i am convinced that they will overcome all of the challenges and enjoy their life there. It is natural for him to make that kind of dream. His fellow citizens deserve the same decent life. I wish his dream will come true in the future and more Syrian will live a peaceful life as the others on this planet do.
