Now that I have a good supply of meat in camp it's time to enjoy a filling meal. It's been light living throughout this trip having only harvested 2 grouse prior to the two beavers. I'm thinking a delicious beaver stew will taste great and fill me up. Thank you to everyone who watches.

@@GirthQuake3 Well, it's complicated. It's been a long time. And sometimes it happens that we can't rise any further in terms of fetters, but we feel that an invisible force lifts us up again and again.

You forgot the parsnip, bay leaf and celery seed 😉😆 Ok. There are two things you do in this video that I also do but have never really seen in KZfaq land… The first is bullion. I was taught at a young age the many benefits of carrying bullion. In my hunting pack and survival kit I carry either bullion cubes or the foil sachets. As you mentioned, a nice hot mug of beef or chicken broth can drastically improve ones situation. The other, sort of rarely done or mentioned thing you did was to eat out of the pot. It seems like everyone has to plate their food for a presentation lol I’m in complete agreement about doing dishes 👍🏻

Can't believe you are using the backstraps to make stew!! You should cook that like a steak on a cast iron skillet!! You should use the forequarter with the bones to make an awesome stew!! Did you keep the tails? I read they were a delicacy among woodsmen for the fat that was in them. If you had it probably should have added some flour to the meat to help thicken the stew when the liquid gets added. Still looks awesome. I'm from Australia so can't try that but seems to be a great meat to eat. I'd love to try it one day.

I try and bring a dollar store plastic cutting board with me or split down one from a round of dry wood to save my knife edge, and make prep easier. Also instant mashed potatoes makes a great thickener rather than a roux or cornstarch and water.
