In this session we discuss the uprising that took place soon after Imam Ali (as) assumed his role as the Caliph. Muawiya was to ignite the fire of an alliance to be lead by Talha, Zubayr and the Prophet's (s) widow Aisha, with the aim of bringing Imam Ali's (as) reign to an end before it even started.

Explain the ripping off of the gates of Khyber by Imam Ali's (as) bare hands then? That's an undisputed fact in both Shiite and Sunni tradition. I would implore you to kindly not be so dismissive of what the Imamat entails and the relationship of Imamat to Prophethood.
