@@rgupta3864 Probation 1 year as per written timeline but depending upon zones it may take variable time. Secondly once you are confirmed in the services then you can put resignation that too depends time taken by authority to relieve you, which varies. So please be prepared before coming...

24*7 On call duty, though frequency of such calls vary from station to station depending upon number of trains and employees working there. Usually MBBS level doctors are posted there. Only specialist work in hospital settings, with own pros n cons.

@@doctorsdesk Even though working hrs are less they may call anytime in a day to come for work. And there are travel restrictions to stay inside 8 kms from working place even on holidays. Are these true. Is there any cadre where all these problems aren't there sir? And is there any cadre where transfers will be less and high probably to get in Chennai or somewhere South sir?

Bro what I experienced I will share with you . I don't feel the same what u had written about irhs .. u knw ..if you will see the society their also u will find some problems realated to doctors but it doesn't mean u will leave that society .. Indian railways is a big family and have different departments having different responsibilities through which whole indain railway work .. so don't bother about the doctor role in indain railway. What I felt about my journey in Indian railway is ..the main thing is how you behave with other officers and how you gonna maintain relationships with other officers ..same like u live in any society ..as in society some people respect doctors and And some not ..same thing is applied here also ..it's all depend on your capabilities and your work which counts ...it's not like that , other officers looked down you , I don't feel like this .if you show your ego and u also have to face the same thing .. One thing which I felt is main thing is you relationship with other officers and employees which counts and also ur work and capabilities .. Things are changing , soon railways hospital will be open for normal public also in 2-3 months . Every thing gonna online in railways hospital ,some of the hospitals already started with HMIS ..so don't worry about CLINICAL WORK , don't listen to other people just experience yourself and than decide .. I maintained a nice relationship with all other dept officers , they are very gud ..and they help me in every work . We party together , we go out together , we enjoy together.. so it's all depend on u and only u ..how you want to move in your journey of life .. Hope I cleared some of your doubts .. all the best

You can get posting in any hospital but if you haven't done your pg than chances of getting posting in health unit are high...I got my first posting in subdivisional hospital and many of my batchmates got posting in central hospital also ..

It's for Employees as railway is a 24*7 service , employees are working in different shifts and in different areas which are far away from Health units. Hence for their convenience OPD hours are also reserved in evenings.

Only zone.In choices all zones will be available , you just need to arrange them in descending order . According to your rank and category you will get zone

If you are mbbs than more chance of getting posted in healthunit or subdivisional hospital But you may get in divisional and central hospital also ..all depend on PCMD of that zone ..

@@drnishantdhiman498 sir I got selected in 2020 chances of getting irhs cadre are more Suppose I also get pg branch which is not my dream branch but exhausted from study further should I take CMS and earn seniority Or take pg study more learn more then join irhs and leave 3 yr of seniority because seniority is only maintain after probabation period What should do ?

It's a PAN India Organization not a state cadre job. You can experience transfer in beginning or after 20 years. You have to be mentally ready. If not , don't take this cadre. You need to weigh pros of officer life , working environment, perks with cons of getting away from home or sat and Sunday free like that.
